I know Savita's latest actions seem cruel and selfish but when you look at the situation you can't really blame her for reacting the way she has towards Archana. Archana stood by while her mother slapped and insulted Manav, then left without hearing Manav out. Archana automatically believed what was being said about Manav. So Savita reacted by insulting Archana publicly like Sulochana did to her son, she had enough. Now Savita has gone as far as asking Manav to divorce Archana and asking back for the jewellery, again I can't blame her, Archana has yet to put up a fight for Manav so what is Savita supposed to think?

Ah, I so agree! I think that Savita, like any mother, is now just fed up. She doesn't want to see her son suffering for a girl that isn't even doing anything to help him. Archana hasn't once made it clear to Manav or his family that she supports him. You're right that she let her husband get slapped and insulted and didn't listen to him. Just like after the bidaai, Archana isn't showing any respect for Manav or her relationship with him and Savita has had enough. Yes, it was wrong to take Manav's name in asking for the managalsutra, but its probably the only way that she could get Archana out of Manav's life. In Savita's eyes Archana has done no good for son and is making him suffer if anything, so she is trying to make her son's life good again in her own style. Anyways, its not like Archana has shown that she actually wants to wear the mangalsutra, it seems like she's just wearing it because she feels like she has to. Thus, I don't know what else Savita will think of Archana except that she doesn't care for Manav and doesn't mind seeing him suffer, which would make even the kindest of mothers angry.
In fact now that I think of it, Savita may just be (without actually thinking about it) testing Archana. If Archana believes her and dares to take off the mangalsutra, then it will cement Savita's thoughts that Archana really doesn't care one bit about Manav or her marriage with him. If she doesn't take it off and asks whether Manav really wants the mangalsutra back, then atleast Savita will see that Archana still trusts Manav's goodness to some extent and isn't too keen on breaking her bond with him.

The actions of Archana and her family have left Savita with no choice but to react the way she has. Despite giving Sulochana a taste of her own medicine, it didn't work. Despite Manav burning his hand trying to convince Archana of his innocence still nothing, Archana is still fulfilling her duties as a daughter, not of a daughter in law or of a wife. If Archana truly wanted her marriage, then it wouldn't have mattered what Savita said, she would've known Manav better and fight for him. Judging the latest article and Archana's continued behavior, she won't fight for Manav so Savita is right. When Archana won't fight for Manav, it's pretty useless for Manav to fight for her. His life shouldn't be put on hold until Archana comes to her senses.

I agree that Savita is doing what she thinks is right for her son and that is getting archana out of his life. Her methods are harsh but you can't blame her completely.
I think that since she has said manav wants it back, Archana will give the magalsutra back even though it will hurt her. I'm sure both the mothers will create misunderstanding between Arman.
The what bugs me the most is even if Archana doens't want to give it back, she will be forced to by her family. They act like she's completely dumb and can't think for herself. Just because she's illiterate doens't mean she doesn't have a brain. I especially noticed this when archu's brother wouldn't listen to her at all. She had started to stand up a little bit but i don't know how long its gonna last. Maybe her going to night college wont' be so bad, at least she'll learn to stand up for herself.

Her family treats her that way because she lets them do it. Archana has a mind of her own and it is time she start using it! She is a married woman, her husband burnt his hand claiming his innocence and yet Archana does nothing. I know on Friday's episode she showed some courage but not enough. I expected her to reach out to Manav in this episode, put up a fight but she didn't and the articles didn't seem encouraging either. If Archana were to put up a fight, then maybe Savita wouldn't be so hard on her and of course she would have Manav's support.

But that's what i really wonder what would Archana have to do so that her mom would back down? I dont' think Sulochana would back down without a huge fight, I mean would Archana have to do something like Varsha and move out of the house to prove her point? Look at Varsha even though she has moved out her mom wont' back down.
If Archana is weak, her family is equally stubborn headed and forceful. It might take a miracle for them to listen to anything Archana says can't blame her completely.

But at least Archana would be standing up for herself and for her marriage. Manav is doing it despite his mother not wanting him to, she too is stubborn but it hasn't stop Manav and it shouldn't stop Archana.

Good point I didn't think about it that way. No matter what Manav is standing up to his mother. Archana does settle under the pressure of her family. Like even when she wasn't living with manav and he wanted to meet her, her brother encouraged her too and to start thinking about herself, Archana wouldnt' even do that because of her mother. She's gonna have to overcome a lot to not only stand up but also be heard.

I agree with you. I think Manav should divorce Archana, she doesn't deserve a nice guy like Manav. She can go marry Satish and I bet if she does, she'll suddenly remember the duties of a wife and how she she should support and adjust with her husband! But never in case of Manav! 😡
Manav deserves better.....he should stop running after her.
