When you think about it, Savita and Sulochana are alike. Sulochana too was greedy. She was so obsessed with wanting Archu to marry a wealthy, educated guy that she refused to see the good in Manav. All Sulochana could see was how poor he was, she insulted him and made a huge scene at the wedding hall. It took a while for Sulochana's greed and stubborness to stop, hopefull Savita too will get a wake up call.
Manav and Archu are too quiet, too kind hearted. They are two people who love and respect their elders and would never want to hurt them, but at the same time they are suffering because of their mothers. Their quiet nature is what makes people take advantage of them.

I completey agree about sulochan going through a shock at the wedding and she was reacting to that. I mean imagine as a mother how that would make you feel. You feel like you have pushed your daugher into a lake to die. Savita is a greedy low life who just wants to get more and more out of Archu's family. That is just so wrong on so many levels. I am sick of Mother in Laws thinking their sons are like gods and they are selling them to the highest bidder, they expect the girls family to do everything and keep giving them over and over again and what these serials do is highligh all that and maybe exagerate a little. I used to think these things don't happen in real life but really they do there are real in laws out there that do this to their daughter in laws - which sad.
