“Don’t Worry! You will be fine!” Mrs. Oberoi said, comforting Mrs. Khurana. “What’s the use of giving this fake hope? You also know that nothing can happen now!” Mrs. Khurana said emotionlessly. She was acting strong but deep inside she knew that nothing could happen now! And she was afraid of death. She wanted to live and see her daughter happy. “We just have 1 month and then everything will be over! We will be gone forever!” Mrs. Khurana said, sobbing. Mini came forward and hugged her. “Mom! Nothing will happen to you. Dad will be fine. You will be fine.” Mini said without any expression on her face. “It's time for her to rest! Please go outside” The nurse said and asked Mrs. Khurana to lie down. Everybody moved out of the room except Mini, who was looking at her mom and Neil, who was looking at her with tears in his eyes. Mrs. Khurana signaled him to take her out while crying. He put his arm around her and took her out. Everybody was sitting there. “I can’t see them like that. I want to go home. I don’t want to stay here.” Mini said to Neil. He nodded at her. And they both left. Mini straight went to her bedroom and he went behind her. She was standing near the photograph of her and her parents. And she smiled at the picture. She looked at him standing at the door. “1 month and my family would break into pieces.” She said when tears came out from her eyes. He came to her and held her hand. He made her sit on the bed. His eyes were giving her strength when she never uttered a word. He said a thousand words from his eyes. He made her lie down on the bed and caressed her hair till she was asleep.

“I know it’s not easy for her, but you have to be there for her okay?” Mrs. Oberoi told Neil. “I promise you, Mom. I cannot lessen her pain but I’ll definitely stand for her when she needs it!” Mrs. Oberoi smiled and said, “I know you’ll handle it!”

Mrs. Khurana on the hospital bed was thinking how she thought life would be and how it turned out to be. She was talking to Mr. Khurana who felt the same thing. “Remember how I shed happy tears when Mini agreed to marry Neil. I saw that attraction in her eyes for him and he too would look at her again and again when we were planning how the marriage functions had to take place. After marriage, she was living so happily and peacefully with him! His parents took care of her like their own child. I was so happy to know when she told me that she is happy with him. They settled perfectly and life was going so smoothly! But I spoiled it!” Mrs. Khurana was on the verge of crying. “It’s not like that! Don’t blame yourself!” Mrs. Oberoi said to her. “How is Mini? Is she fine?” Mrs. Khurana hurriedly asked her. Mrs. Oberoi replied “Yes! She is fine! I know how you must be feeling! But…” Mrs. Khurana didn’t let her complete. “Please take care of her when I'm no longer! You are my old friend and you know me better than anyone else. So promise your friend!” “I promise!” Mrs. Oberoi assured her.

She woke up as the Sun Rays disturbed her sleep. Neil came inside the room with 2 cups. “You made coffee?” Mini said surprisingly. “Yes! My wifey actually forgot that she’s a doctor and she needs to go to the hospital but she didn’t wake up so I thought she’s on holiday” Neil said. “WHAT!! Oh my god! I need to hurry” Mini said as she stood up. “Calm Down! You still have one hour left” Neil said. “You have got a new way to trouble me.” Mini said, complaining. “You will not go today? You had that song to record, no?” “Yeah, but I’ll drop you first, then go” Neil said. Mini’s eyes again went to the photo kept on the table and she recalled yesterday’s events.

“I’m not going to the hospital today” Mini said, still looking at the photographer. He looked at her and held her hands. “I know you don’t want to accept the fact that your parents will no longer be there. Even you know that Brain Cancer cannot be cured. But it’s just one month. You will not be able to see your parents again. You should spend time with them and make more memories. But I promise, I’ll be there FOR YOU, FOREVER.”

“I am scared. What if that blackmailer enters into her life when we go? Especially when Neil is a Superstar Singer. I just know that this Blackmailer is dangerous.” Mr. Khurrana said to Mrs. Khurrana.

“Mom-Dad!” Mini came to them with a big smile on her face. Her parents felt joyful seeing her. They spent family time together but they knew that it wouldn't last for long.

“Neil! I guess it’s the time” Dr. Neelam said to Neil as they were going out of the hospital. He just nodded and went out.
