Part 6

“ Do you take this man as your husband?” Priest askedfor the bride’s consent.

Everyone held their breath to hear that ‘yes’ from Mini’s mouth which would bound her to Siddharta forever. But when she didn’t say anything after few seconds also, Priest cleared his throat and repeated the question, “ Do you take Siddharta Singhania as your husband?”

Mini was still silent. She had her eyes downcast and the sounds of waves in the ocean coming from background was adding suspense to the situation. Everyone had their eyes on Mini, some people even started gossiping. Mini was thinking about the moments spent Neil, her father’s advice. She wanted to say no but the thing that Neil didn’t show up today was bugging her so much, crumbling her rebellion. Mini had tears in her eyes. She looked at her father Ashok for one last time before making up her mind. Ashok clenched his fist and kept it on his chest as a gesture of reminding his baby girl the most important advice he gave her, “Be honest to yourself first.” Then Mini saw everyone’s face. People were seeing her with suspicion, this made her nervous. She wanted to voice out her opinion but felt something got stuck in her throat and she couldn’t utter a word because of it. Just when she was about to give up, she saw that one person, the ray of sunshine, her world, her love, her happiness, her Mr. Imperfect Neil, standing right in front of her.

He was panting, looked like he came running here. As always, tubelight, she was sure he must had decided to leave the place then somehow later his tubelight brain would have convinced him to take a chance and hence he came running to her. He loked upto her. Their eyes met and it didn’t take long before she could read his eyes clearly this time. His eyes were moist too and there was hope in them, lots of promises. Mini didn’t needed anything more.

“No, I am not ready for this marriage. I cant marry you Siddharta, I am sorry.” Mini finally said.

“Yoohooo!” A shriek of excitement came amidst gasps and sad sighs. Everyone turned to see who made that sound and Ashok Khurana came forward looking proudly at his daughter for making right decision. Babita tried to stop him but he pressed her hand in assurance that their daughter is doing the right thing. She is listening to her heart.

“What the hell Mini? You yourself said yes to marry me when I proposed you. Why you did all this marriage drama when you never wanted to get married? Did you want to insult me in front of all the people?” Siddharta shouted.

“I am sorry Sid. I should have told you the truth from the beginning. I never loved you. I never really moved on from my past relationship. You are a great guy but....” Mini tried to explain but Sidhharta didn’t let her. “But what Mini? I did so many things for you. I even know where you went last night but still...still I decided to give you a chance and this is how you showed your gratitude.” He taunted.

Mini was momentarily shocked that Sid knew about last night but then continued to explain her reason, “Thats why I was saying Siddharta, you are a great guy, a perfect man. Nothing is wrong with you. Problem lies with me. I am seeking out for imperfections. You see that guy over there...” Mini pointed her finger towards Neil who smiled at her. “...He may be the most imperfect guy on this planet but he is perfect for me. My perfectly imperfect man, my Neil and I love him so much...so much. There is no place for you or anyone else in my heart because it was never empty. Neil was always there. My anger towards him suppressed my love temporarily and I did the mistake of thinking that I have moved on and ready to give my heart another chance. But love was always there, even when he was not with me, even when I was with you, my heart has always beaten for Neil.”

“Too hell with you and your Neil.” Siddharta yelled and walked out from the venue with his friends and family.

Neil walked upto the altar where Mini was standing. She saw him in the groom's place and finally it all become perfect for her. "You are late...as always." Mini slapped him lightly on the shoulder.

"Late, but never failed you. I came here for you, for us. I know we fight a lot but those moments also special for me because you are in them. I dont care if we both have mountain size ego because we also have an ocean full of love inside our hearts. Besides, fighting with you is fun. I would rather fight with you instead of romancing someone else." Neil said earning another light slap on his shoulder.

“Uncle, main kya bol raha hoon, everything is ready aaj in dono ki shadi karwa hi dijiye. Inka koi bharosa nahi phir kisi baat par jhagda ho gaya to pata nahi kitna aur time waste kar denge ye dono.” Bobby who also joined now with Mickey, gave suggestion to Ashok.

“Beta ji, ye pehli bar aapne kaam ki baat ki hai.”Ashok agreed and he made Babita also agree. Neil took permission from his family over phone and they decided to marry on the same altar in front of same priest. Priest completed the rituals and then again asked the important question.

“Do you take Neil Oberoi as your husband?”

Before Mini could answer, Neil stopped her. “Wait, I have to say my vows first.”

Mini smiled at him and Neil continued, “I may not be your prince charming but you will always rule my heart like a princess. I maybe not a gentleman but I will always treat you with respect. I cant promise that I will never fight with you but I promise I will be the one to always take the first step to end the fight. You may cry because of my stupidities sometimes but I promise the first hand to wipe those tears will always be mine. I may let you down sometimes but I will never let you go away from me. And above all, I will love you unconditionally like I always have. You were and will be always my one true love.”

Mini couldn’t say anything because it was very emotional moment for her but Ashok didn’t leave chance to threaten, “You break any of your promises boy and I will be coming for you with my gun.” Everyone laughed at it.

Then priest again asked their consent and both replied, ‘I do’. “You may now kiss the.....” Priest left the sentence incomplete as he noticed both of them didn’t wait for his words and have started kissing already, unashamedly in front on everyone. Ashok blushed while Babita was scandalized and the friends cheered for them.

“Hey Mini! What are you doing? Just wait a minute.” Neil stopped his newly wedded wife from entering his house.

“What happened Neil?” Mini asked.

“Mom told me that we did Christian style wedding but we should at least follow some of our Indians traditions, specially of grih pravesh. So you stay outside. I will go in and bring rice pot for you. You have to kick it.” Neil explained and opened the door. He went inside to make preparations while Mini kept standing outside the door. She was excited to go in. Its been so long she hadn’t come here. She closed her eyes and remembered how she used to love this house and take care of it. Immediately the image of their well maintained love nest emerged in her eyes.

Neil was taking so long and Mini had run out of patience so she pushed the door open to at least have a sneak peek. What she saw shocked her out of her wits.

Neil was pouring some rice in one container when he heard Mini’s scream. He ran towards the door and found Mini looking horrified.

“What happened? Have you seen some ghost?” Neil inquired.

“Idiot, moron, stupid, what have you done to our house? It looks as if a tornado came here and scattered all things around.” Mini shouted and forgetting the ritual she marched inside as she noticed how dirty clothes were scattered on sofa, magazines and newspaper were stacked on corner table, half eaten pizza of god know how many days old was thrown carelessly on the centre table. Refrigerator was having foul smell and developed fungus. Toilet looked like it was never cleaned after she left. Curtains were same old, covered in dust. and she even dreaded to go inside kitchen.

“Oh my house! My beautiful house, what have you done to it Neil? How can you be so irresponsible? I hate this fact you never pay attention on hygiene of the house. You are lazy, pathetic, dirty. You....” And she kept complaining until she got tired and slumped down on empty sofa chair.

Neil kept standing like a school kid who was getting scold by his mother. “Do you want to eat something?” Neil asked after Mini finally stopped her rant.

This enraged her even more that he didn’t even paying attention to what she said. “You know what? I did a huge mistake by marrying you. I should still check on Sid, he might still be interested in me.” Mini taunted.

“How dare you? I am not saying anything doesn’t mean you will again talk about that Sid, bloody good for nothing boring guy. And give me a break, I couldnt clean the house because I was busy with my work, maid is on leave then I went to goa. Today only you have come. I will clean the house from tomorrow.” Neil replied getting annoyed.

“I know that tomorrow will never come.” Mini said with hands on her hips.

“Why dont you trust me for once. Already started nagging me for each and everything. God! dont know why I married you.” Neil ran his hand in his hair in frustration.

“Neil Oberoi...you...I will...” Mini looked here and there in anger and when she couldn’t find anything she took the water jug from the centre table and splashed the water on Neil’s face.

“You haven’t changed, you jungle billi. Wait for me now, I’ll show you.” Neil wiped the water from his face and started searching for something to throw at her too. He finally found a already torn cushion on sofa. He picked it up and took an aim.

“No Neil, I am warning you. You hit me with that and I will leave from here immediately.” Mini started threatening too as she tried to save herself. But looked like Neil will hit her somehow so she ran away from there and Neil started chasing her in the whole house.

“You dirty pig!” Mini yelled.

“You sophisticated cat!” Neil yelled.

“You uncouth barbarian!”

“You arrogant witch!”

“You chauvinist!”

“You femi nazi!”

“You pathetic husband!”

“You boring wife!” the yelling continued until they reached their bedroom and accidentally fell on bed with Neil on top of her.

“Its your fault.” Mini pointed out as a conclusion of their fight as she knew now she cant continue it for long, his closeness already turned her on.

“You started it.” Neil offered his conclusion as he could feel soon he will be not in a position to argue further as her soft curves was pressed up against his hard chest and he wanted to feel them through his hands badly.

“You could have end it by accepting your mistakes.” Mini replied as she already started breathing heavily squirming under his weight.

“You didn’t give me chance to explain.” Neil said as he finally touched her breast over her dress.

“You are so frustrating.” Mini said before she let out a moan on being attacked on her neck and cleavage by his notorious tongue.

“Same to you.” Neil replied when he let out a grunt as her hand pressed his manhood over his pants.

After only few minutes they again started screaming but the insults, the profanities, the accusations had turned into moans and groans.

“Oh! I love you baby.” Mini shouted.

“Mini, love, you are amazing at that.” Neil said breathlessly.

“Oh yeah! Thats the place baby, keep going on. I love it.”

“I love you so much. You make me feel complete. Please love me forever like this.”

“I love you too. I will never let you go.”

“Neil....”

“Mini...”

And their life continued happily ever after amidst their never ending fights and love sessions as they had understood that if they cant live with each other, they cant survive without each other too. Fights and arguments were the spice of their life. They loved each other too much to let anything come between them.

ashok can easy pull of that good and kind father but it is difficult to imagine bubbly as supportive, confident mother
