Actually speaking, they have butchered Babita's character long back. By now, I have been used to watching it. But, frankly speaking, I don't understand how this has been portrayed as a mother trying to hide this fact from the world! If I remember, Babita has raised her voice a lot on such matters. I still remember how she was getting trained in karate, so as to fight those roadside romeos, who were trying to misbehave with Preet. She slapped them, and hit them black and blue.

Even in the case of Ashok. Whenever he slapped Mini or tried to harm her, she would never tolerate. And then she slapped him, one fine day. I don't understand, how did they forget about this? Do the CVs have memory loss or something?

Though, one thing, such mothers definitely exist in our country. All those girls who have been through hell in their lives, have always feared to share with their mothers, at particular, fearing they would retaliate....

Bold 1- the babita they are talking about here was the one who lived at the khuranas. And she 100% would not have wanted to cause any issues by making a big issue about it. She did tell beeji (as we found out in the next episode) but beeji also told her to be quiet about it because it’s About lovely’s in-laws. beeji said this and she also didn’t tell dadu at the time.

It’s not an insult to babita. She was a wife living without her husband in her in laws house and she did all she could do, she went and told beeji. What else could she do if beeji also didn’t want to take it further? Should she go against her mother in law and tell everybody about the abuse? Can you imagine lovely’s reaction when u think about how badly lovely treated babita in the first few episodes and babita was just quiet all the time, not defending herself.

Bold 2- this is the babita after leaving the khurana house. She was stronger and stood up for herself a bit more. She also stood up to other people. While she was living in khurana house she wasn’t someone who had much of a voice but this all changed after what happened with ashok. if mini had told THIS NEW BABITA then ofc she would have reacted differently.

Babita did change compared to the person she was when she lived at the khuranas house. She WAS weak when she lived there, but it’s not her fault. She was married off at 18, left by her husband and forced to live by people who treated her not very well. Babita, as a mother, can only do so much when she’s living without the support of her husband and living with her in-laws (especially in laws like lovely). Luckily she became stronger and learned up to stand up for herself more, but she weren’t always that way was she?

I don’t see it as an attack of babitas character. It’s an attack of the mindset of people of that generation and the generations before.

Even if it was old Babita they're talking about😊 then to child Abuse isn't something only three person can keep to themselves 😒 she told beeji and that women did nothing"? She didn't told even Dadu"? What's that make her here then"? if they are as such why to whitwash them in season-1"? and Honestly even if Babita did nothing more then that I am sure the women won't have been so devoted to old lady old men after that incident at all, and I am sure the wedding day she may pointed out this incident to, cause that was day she was letting out everything, even with Ashok when she was telling him they were your family not mine yet I was here for you. "Was it really really necessary to Drag Mini into it by portraying her as victim /survivor"? When most of people find it hollow to even accept it"?

"Admit or not 🤔KK suck at exciting plot based on such a sensitive issue as well,

"They have good actors truly they can act Marvlously 😎 still if story line or script isn't good then forget about the show as well it's not based on actors name or fame and their acting only you need strong plot to keep the audience hooked and unfortunately PB don't have that 😆

If beeji forbid her from telling dadu what can she do? Considering she gave birth to mini when she was 18/19 she wouldn’t have been much older herself and not mature enough to even know how to deal with the situation. Remember that she’s been taught to listen to everything her in-laws say. She also wanted to be a “good daughter in law” and obviously she’d see being a good daughter in law would mean not going against something her mother in law says. Watch episode 1 again and then answer the question whether that babita would have been equipped to handle something like that. Or whether after beeji saying no, she’d have still went and told ppl?

You only have to look at nehas mother and father and their reaction to what happened to neha (first pretending that it was ok because he only touched her, then not telling anyone else in the family even nehas own father, then telling the world nothing happened to save the reputation of neha and the school). Doesn’t make them bad parents, it makes their mindsets bad. Babita would have grown up being taught similarly by her parents. They did mention lovely and her in laws but didn’t go into detail. All they said was they treated her badly because she was childless. (I also think they should have gone deeper on this issue)

I think the reason for dragging mini into it was to show a different perspective. To show how “being quiet” has an effect down the line, years later. And how this sort of trauma doesn’t leave a person, even when it happens to them while they’re still small. When adults make a decision like nehas parents did, they don’t think about the consequence to the kid. They think about society, future proposals, reputation, what people will say. No one has once considered what neha will think of her parents when she grows up and understands that she told her parents she was touched and they were quiet (like in minis case). It builds up resentment.

Mini is a victim yes, but so was babita. It wouldn’t have been easy for babita to go through all that also (alone, with no husband, no family and beeji telling her to be quiet because they can’t cause a problem with lovely’s in laws).

Yes beeji knew and I’m only presuming told babita to not take it further. did u not see the conversation between beeji and dadu? Dadu asked her if she knew. She said yes babita has told her but what could they do as it was about lovely’s in-laws and lovely was already experiencing issues with her in laws. Beeji is more to blame than babita (but mini will obviously blame babita because that’s her mother and children expect their parents support). But what could babita have done? She went to the older person in the house (beeji) and she was shot down. Maybe if she had her husbands support she could have done more but she was at the mercy of the in-laws she was living with, who didn’t treat her very fairly.

I’m not even surprised actually because beeji never stood up for babita when it came to her own children (even if babita was right). Even tho they’ve made beeji all sweet I still hate her 😆
