I know.i know.I have already said it's just a story.kk & rajita sharma has full right to shape their story as they wished. That's their job.

But as a viewer, its my job to appreciate a character before it was butchered to the extent.

We all talked about minnie, hannie, HS but writers have convincingly made Babita forbidden & forgotten.

Here,i'm talking about the babes who naively believed in love, who associated true love with some mela ki jhumki.

Babes who never raised her voice but became a fierce mother hen if her child was in question.Who despite everything, chose to believe in her kid & lived with a supposed drunkard guy.I'm talking about that helpless woman who still took a rod to hit that supposed drunk guy in the middle of night for the safety of her kid.

I'm talking about the woman whose respect was shredded in public repeatedly but still she knew to let it go.Even after everything, she knew to dance with abandone in lohri, holi or just in her barsaati ,all by her herself.

She didn’t get the rules of professional life yet she got the forward spiral theory just right .She implemented her own rules & became a favourite employer for arrogant mcp guys. She took time yet she fought for her rights.Against ashok, amit kukreja & so on .

Even being a mom,she dared to dream. She learnt to show off her achievements yet she remained good in heart. She dared to love but still remained a mother & decided to let go of her heart.

Even, while rejecting someone she had been respectful.Even from distance, she could feel the depth of love of HS for his imartiji & made Hanumaan singh of patiala police break down.

Even after loving a guy,she never wanted all of his heart. We are talking about that babita.

Who knew how to love without expectation, who knew how to fight back even after not knowing anything, who searched for bathrooms everyday in schorching heat without complaining, who still never forgot to take care of her kid, who decided not to wrap her kid inside blanket anymore but inspired her daughter to break free, who forgot her own insult to get her kid out of depression & reconciled with her ex inlaws, who learnt & did so many things she never wanted -just to make her people happy.

The actual Patiala Babes, dear Babita, hamari pyaari si,bholi si,nadaan si babes,( till epi 180,)we never say it much but we genuinely loved u.

Hi... I personally thank you for this post. It was actually very sad to see what they have done to the character, character assassination in the truest sense. It was also sad to see how it all ended, it was supposed to be a beautiful journey of a woman/a mother who learns to fly with her newfound wings of confidence with the help of her daughter. In the end all everyone could talk about and connect with were HS and Minnie. No offense to them, their characters were splendid, but as a woman it was disheartening to see how a mother’s journey wasn’t even considered worthy enough to be discussed.

Yeah.i was going through the old scenes & it hit me hard.i almost could not recognise what a beautiful lady Babita was.

She had her own sets of setbacks yet she managed herself in the race of life

@bold — The thing that totally turned me off from this place. When HS started acting like Joru ka Ghulam then he is getting butchered and outrage over it. But when Babita started acting wacko then she has always been like that. LOL.

But it generally happens with TV shows. Girls and women mostly fall for male character and spend hours gushing over and justifying his behavior. I am a mother and it hurt me to see what they have reduced a mother’s role to, which she wasn’t by no explanation.

Bold - Amen to that. This is one concept I’ve never understood in any forum and I have come to realize there’s no point in analyzing it.

I thought that was the whole concept of the show, that despite her setbacks from being in neglectful and emotionally draining relationships, how she overcomes her setbacks and embraces the new possibilities along with her daughter. Guess the joke is on me to look for anything meaningful in a ITV show.

When I saw what Babita did during the factory episodes, especially in terms of applying Chanakya's teachings in her own way, and then the catering business episodes in the initial days when they got the order approved by the commissioner, etc. I thought we were going to see how she struggles to grow her business and how she learns to deal with Khatri and the likes, maybe even how after a point Ashok's existence is really meaningless to her and how she becomes the kind of mother and role model to Minnie that she never got. But nope! NOTHING of that sort happened.

Sure there were some traits of Babita's that were evident from day one, such as her obsession with log kya kahenge and her tendency to be self-absorbed, but KK not only took these to ridiculous extremes, they also introduced new ones through contrived situations that pissed me off repeatedly.

I think from the sharaabi episodes onwards I saw the decline in Babita's character arc. I thought it was a glitch but it went on and on through the Imarti track, then the wedding weeks, and then all the way until the end. I was so disappointed with what they did that I just gave up expecting anything. ITV in general seems unable to provide and present well-balanced and realistic FLs. I didn't expect Superwoman, or a perfect Babita. I wanted to see her growth and learning curve, her application of the Forward Spiral theory, without which all of HS' teachings would be meaningless anyway. And at the end they made both HS and Babita's efforts meaningless.

I personal fought my battle towards independence and living life on my own terms so I always cheer other women who are starting on the same path. I wanted to cheer for Babita, and was able to for a little while until KK ripped the pom poms from my hands.

Don't get me wrong. I have no issues with unhappy or tragic endings but the way to get there should have been reasonable. It was fine if they wanted to show Babita's ego getting the better of her, but they could have shown perhaps how becoming a big businesswoman made her arrogant or careless about her personal life or whatever. They could have shown her being so self-absorbed about her success or about money that she started neglecting her family, her marriage. It would have made far more sense than showing her becoming more regressive and steeped in 'traditions' after all she went through. The premise of the show was misleading; rather they misled us from episode 170 onward with all the twists and turns.

I don't remember ever being this disappointed with a show. The woman in me has been so offended that after a point I decided not to even bother arguing for or against the decline in Babita's character as it was futile. They did the same with HS after the wedding and much as I love this character, I think I was far more affected by what they did to Babita's character.

I've learned my lesson too. And you wonder why the maximum that fans can do is support a character or an actor, but not the story itself... What choice do they have? Stories are not reliably consistent or run their course as originally intended.

U know what is funnier?

On the last epi while minnie left that letter, i knew they will show babes rose again after that much needed lecture from minnie Which minnie will find out after her parent's death .& i think They are doing exactly that in season 2.

But i really dont get what was the need for that anyway? Her learning curves could have been shown in a better way with all the actors present in the story & also by not taking things to the extremes. But the sadist makers had to go their way.sigh.

As i have repeatedly said Before, no other itv show effected & later on disappointed me so much like PB.
