Your gora comment reminded me of the 'angrejon bharat chhodo' scene, which happens to be one of my favorites. Aniruddh with his face full of soap was just fab!

Hahaha, that scene is amazing! There are so many things about it that are incredibly heartwarming. It was light, funny for sure, but it was also so charming and endearing.

It was endearing and I remember once again being so impressed by AD's ability to wipe soap on his face and even over his eyes while still mouthing those dialogues. The way he wiped his face to take the glass from Babita was just awesome as was the way he was sitting in that stall while washing his face. I think it's the morning and the rustic vibes that made me fall for HS. AD's body language is just spectacular, especially in such scenes. I also love the ones where he's brushing his teeth/picking up his toothbrush from a literally hole in the wall. All these little things made it stand out and I think loads of people just identified with it and it made him relateable.

The way he placed his palm over his heart to say a big photo of Imarti was imprinted on there. In those few minutes we got the basics of HS life story from childhood till that moment. His struggles, hints of his daddy issues, his missing his mother as she left him at a young age, the influence of his grandfather, and then what happened after Imarti entered his life, how it changed him, etc. It's what I'd call a perfect scene.

Aahh, now I just wanna go back and watch these scenes again.

You know, the other day I rewatched the choodiyan wala scene and he too had a generational connection with HS' family. I was left truly amazed. The bangle seller only came for one scene and yet he was not only given a role but with one that had a real backstory, that too a personal one with HS and rest of the mohalla as a byproduct.

Those truly were the golden days of PB.

Oh the cameos and the way they interact with the main characters has been a USP of this show. Just look at Satto Chachi too! It's only possible because of the way they write these characters with a 360 view.

These little morning routines fleshed him out so much. Not to mention AD didn't shy away from portraying himself in whatever manner the scene required. Usually, the MLs faces are always spick and span but yaha toh mhaara HS soap se bhaara hua tha. 😆

Ngl, when Chachi came over, and HS came rushing out, I was surprised by how far AD was able to spit out the backwash. Matlab, kya aim tha bande ka yaar. 👏😆 But it was in that moment that I had perked up and grinned widely. I had missed little moments like these so much.
