So few posts on this thread.. I guess most people are exhausted beyond repair and don't have the energy to comment on this sorry state of affairs.

How wonderful was Minnie's acting.. especially in her room, when she finally breaks down. Most actresses twice or thrice her age will not be able to emote half as well as she did. She was just superb.

Babita always made everything about her ever since she got her wings. Her feelings. her status, her expectations.. even today she made the letter from a dad to his daughter all about her. Babita felt abandoned and cheated in her marriage but no one asked how Minnie felt when their family broke up. Abandonment issues in children is one of the major triggers for mental distress. Minnie was yearning for answers .. but no one saw her as a separate entity from Babita. Whatever was held true for Babita had to be true for her daughter too. She was not allowed to have her own feelings and issues that needed to be addressed

I came across a tweet by PH in past. Around August time. Someone asked them to not to tear them apart to show their (characters') strength. This is what PH replied.

"Ha ha no they will not be loners. They will both have their share of love. What I meant was that though love is an important aspect of life... Why limit the show to being a love story. Why not discover mini and babes beyond as well."

Am I wrong if I believe this is not happening?

Going by Mini's nature she is likely to forgive him which inturn will make him more miserable for letting a kind soul like her down.

HS is the go-to person for KK to dump saari duniya ka boj and trauma on. The fact that he hasn't died of a heart attack yet is a miracle. I don't think I could have tolerated what he has so far.

If you think about it, he is also quite messed up in many many ways. I think being in the police force gave him purpose and direction, but left to his own devices, he might have gone bonkers. Bless Mirza sahab for helping him get an education.

I too feel that literacy and progressiveness are not a 1 to 1 thing. A person can be illiterate but have very progressive thinking about life, whereas there are people with a lot of prestigious degrees who have very regressive mindsets.

You're right. A lot of us are just mentally exhausted from what's been going on for the past couple of months and are just eyeing the finish line for season 1.

What's happening to Minnie sadly happens to a lot of kids when their parents get divorced. The parents are busy in their own ego battles and often use children as pawns or points of negotiation. They sometimes forget that even if they are no longer spouses they will be co-parents till their last breath. I am not saying exes need to be best friends but their bitterness spills over into their parenting and it scars children.

Minnie was almost an adult and still she suffered. I can only imagine what happens to younger children who see their parents fighting for a good part of their lives.

well this girl was fab even when she was a 8 year old.

True empowerment changed babita. Once she got the power to make decisions she decided she will be the only one making them. Its all about her HS mini all have to think only about her feelings their feelings wishes do not exist. With marriage she has got another misconception that ghar me sirf uski chalegi after HS said that to her. She thinks everyone should understand her POV and support her only they are not allowed to have a mind of their own. Doing that means to her that they are hurting her. She will directly accuse them of doing that.

I always believed both ashok babita handled their separation in a very wrong way with mini. Babita allowed mini to support her fine but in turn she allowed Mini to grow resentful towards her father a lot. Ashok in his anger on babita took it out upon Mini because she was supporting her mother and she was the one who used to speak from her side. The divorce was already a bad mess for mini. But even after divorce and babita moving on to better things in her life she still has hate for ashok and expects mini to hate him too. she expects mini to hate Ashok because he hurt babita. Never has she talked about how Ashok hurt mini too along with her and she wants her to stay away from him for her own good. but here it is not even about that It is about babita wanting mini to stay away from ashok because of her hate and her pain. Mature parents do not handle a divorce like this even and do not expect their children to hate the other spouse.

i dont feel sad for her i feel sad for mini. & now HS too. People who do not have the intellect will never understand such complexities. Its the people around them who have to be hurt because of them, they cannot move on because they love her, they have to live with that they are never going to be understood. Because babita sirf apne emotions ka bhaar uthaegi. she wont take in doosro ka pain. she will handle only her pain. People around her will have to deal with sabke emotions and pain which HS and mini are doing.

And since the beginning i never thought Mini -babita match up to each other intellectually. Babita was naive earlier to chal jata tha. ever since she has got a mind of her own she has got more capacity to hurt mini
