Apart from his request of maintaining honesty in the house, there isn't a lot that HS asked from Babita. He even went out of his way to clarify that for 362 days Babita can do whatever she wants, but for the two days that Chachiji is over to see them, he wants her to be well taken care of. Cater towards the wants and needs of his favorite Chachi so that when she leaves, she does so by imparting them with lots of blessings.

Given Chachiji's history with his mother, it's understandable as to why HS thinks so highly of her. She was there for his mom when no one else would dare to do so, not even him. In a way, HS is seeking out her approval over this alliance. What does she think of Babita? Does she also get glimpses of his mother, like he does? Can she also see the sparks of quiet strength like he did?

One thing to be noted, he laid down all his expectations onto Babita to be the ideal DIL who puts aside everything and serves the elders. However, he laid no such expectations onto Minnie. He simply let her be. Even when it came to the women's clothing, he indicated for Babita to cover her head but defended Minnie's choice of wearing the ankle bearing dress.

Considering she's his favorite Chachi, there's no doubt Imarti would have met her. Imarti never worked, so there was no need for her to balance out time between her job and her home. It was easier for her to take care of Chachiji. Babita however, has her own shop that needs to be looked after. It's a different matter that she was losing interest in the store prior to Chachiji's arrival, but the shop is still there that needs her attention. But is Babita choosing the home life because it's what she has always known or because this is truly what she wants from her life?

Minnie on the other hand, is trying to help Babita understand that she can't neglect her professional life after all the hard work that she put into it. She understands Babita is newly married and wants to pay attention to settling in, but at the same time she needs to learn how to manage her shop too. Otherwise, there is a very real risk of it shutting down one day.

At this point, it will be Minnie who will be more devastated than Babita. For Babita, her married life is everything. It comprises her entire identity - a fact that was ingrained within her since she was a child and had to live with for the past 35 years of her life. Yes, she broke out of that mentality but it was only for seven months. Seven months isn't enough time to undo the social conditioning that was hammered into her for thirty-five years, day in and day out. She lived a life as a married woman and as an independent one. What she needs to learn is how to be independent despite being married. These two factors don't need to be mutually exclusive. Like many women out there, she too can learn how to balance both her professional and personal life.

HS, Minnie, Babita and Chachiji have a fun happy moment
Naeem Bi tells the Khuranas how post marriage, Babita's behavior has changed a lot. She has absolutely no interest in the store anymore. Today Minnie's friends came in and helped but they can't do this forever. Minnie's job is to bring the business while Babita's is to cook the food.
Beeji points out how the food wasn't returned. Naeem Bi says that's the problem. The food not being returned indicates how Babita isn't needed for the shop anymore. If Khatri or Kammo find out about this then they will start stealing the clients.
Beeji comments on how now she understands why Minnie was so upset. Naeem Bi tells her she would be considering she has put just as much effort into the shop. Minnie has been told to have a talk with Babita but how much Babita will understand her words is a matter of uncertainty.
Next morning, Minnie tries to talk to Babita but she's busy with her prayers. Seeing her tensed and upset, Babita asks Minnie what's wrong. Minnie tells her she's upset because Babes isn't focusing on her work. Babita tells her that's exactly what she's doing. She's married now. Taking care of HS, and his family is her work. Minnie points out how she was fed up of all this earlier. She's unable to understand why she's repeating the same cycle again. Babita tells her that was Ashok's home and this is HS', so try to see the difference. Minnie says that she can't. Laughing, Babita tells her that when she gets married and gets a husband's love, then she'll see the difference.
Babita tells Minnie to find unmarried girls for the Kanjaka pooja.
Naeem Bi has found some girls for Minnie. Minnie invites the girls to her place and is about to leave when Naeem Bi stops her. She asks Minnie if Babita will come to the shop today. Minnie tells her that she doesn't think so since she needs to do the Kanjaka pooja.
Naeem Bi says how it's increasingly getting difficult to keep on everything. If things carry as they are, then both Kammo and the shop will slip out of her hands.
Kammo steals groceries from the shop.
Naeem Bi arrives and when she checks on the rations, notices that they haven't been received in full. She thinks they're being scammed for the rations.
Minnie asks Babes to take Naeem Bi's call as it's very important. She explains how there's a problem with the rations but Babita is unwilling to listen to her and go to the shop.
Chachiji overhears them and asks what's going on. Minnie tells her how both she and Babes have their own catering service and Babita is needed at the moment. Chachiji urges Babita to go but she's not ready saying it's not that important. Besides, she's not sure how long the shop will remain open now that she's married. Chachiji tells her that she should go and attend to it. No woman in her village works and her both mother and daughter have their own business.
Saying that now they have Chachiji's approval, Minnie takes Babes to the shop.
At the shop, Naeem Bi is trying to explain to Babita all the issues the business has been having lately but Babita is completely disinterested in what she has to say.
HS comes home and sees Chachiji burn herself with hot water as she knocked over the pot by accident when pain shot up her leg because of her arthritis.
Minnie points out Babes' disinterest in the shop to Naeem Bi. Naeem Bi tells her not to say anything to Babita right now as she won't understand anything. Minnie asks to her have a talk with her but she states the same reason. She won't get in between both husband and wife because if anyone tells them anything right now, they'll be considered as their enemies.
HS asks Chachiji why she got up to do anything when she knows that she has arthritis. Chachiji tells him how Babita has gone to the shop. HS questions how she could have gone when he had told her not to.
Babita arrives, and HS tells her to have a look at what happened in her absence. Babita panics learning that Chachiji burnt herself and rushes to get ointment. Chachiji tells HS to stop making a mountain out of a molehill. There's no need for him to yell at Babita since she has already done so much for her.
While Babita puts the ointment on, HS continues to ask her what was the need for her to go the shop when she knows Chachiji has problems with her knees. Babita apologizes and says she would have never gone but Naeem Bi said there was an emergency. HS tells her if it was that important then she should have told him. He would have come back early and attended Chachiji. All he had asked for were two days, but he must have expected too much from her. Babita tells him that's not true and that she didn't even want to go but Minnie forced her to.
Chachiji points out how Babita has cried a river over such a small thing. She also tells HS to stop yelling at her since it was no big deal. She tells Babita to not take it to heart since such things happen between a husband and wife. There's no need to cry so much.
She tells HS to get her belongings as it's time for her to go and asks him to at least drop her off at the station since he couldn't come to receive her.
Chachiji asks where Minnie is since she didn't come back with Babita. Just then Minnie arrives. Chachiji tells Minnie how she's going back to her village. Minnie tells her that she wished she stayed back for a few days more.
Chachiji tells HS that the next time he comes to the village, he should bring Minnie and Babita along with him. She'll find a nice boy for Minnie and get her married so that way she stays with her forever. Minnie is weirded out by this.
Chachiji leaves. Minnie notices Babes is upset and asks her what the problem is. Babita doesn't want to share at first and goes upstairs. Minnie follows, wanting to know what's wrong. Babita at first tells her to not needlessly harass her but then goes on to tell her how things went wrong because of her insistence.
Minnie is unable to understand what she's trying to say and tells her the same. Babita asks if her she truly can't understand or if she doesn't want to. She points out how she'll come to the shop later but Minnie wasn't ready to listen to her. Besides, what even happened at the shop by her being there? Nothing. Things were running fine just as they were.
Minnie tells her that nothing has been going right. The shop has been running at a loss for the past two months. Whatever money they had, they used it up for the marriage. She'll have to take some interest in the business. Babita gets fed up and tells her that she has no interest in the business. How many times will she have to tell her this? It was a different matter in the past as they had to open up the shop because they had no other choice. But now HS is there to look after outside matters, and she'll look after the home.
Minnie tells her that the catering service is her responsibility too. Babes tells her that she only has one responsibility and that's taking care of the home. Minnie asks her about her work? Babita questions her if she thinks house work isn't work? A lot of effort goes into maintaining the home, taking care of people and their relations. Chachiji needed her but because of Minnie she left her to go to the shop and what was the result? HS got mad at her. Minnie tells her to make him understand their situation then. She can't react emotionally all the time, she has to be practical sometimes. She did as much as she could but there are other important things in her life. Babita tells her that there isn't. This, maintaining the home, is the most important thing for her. She's a married woman now, this is her world, and her life. She's not interested in business at all. After many difficulties, she has gotten a second chance at her life, she doesn't want to lose it. Because of her stubbornness, she hurt HS' feelings but going forward she won't listen to her. Why is she trying to push her towards things she has absolutely no interest in?
Moreover, Minnie may take pride in being a business woman but she doesn't. Minnie agrees that she does feel pride because they put so much effort in the catering service. But if Babita finds this all to be a headache, then she can't do anything.
Precap: Mickey tells Minnie how some colleges are giving out some photography scholarships and that she should consider applying. If not now, then when will she do it? Saroj asks Babita if Minnie will stay with her forever.
