Not exactly. I don't think Lala is more matured than he is. Both are equals, Lala might be only less. Actually I don't think we can compare them, they're true life long companions with different personalities. If HS holds onto things, Lala always is the one who will let go, mitti pao person. They complement each other very well.
Wisdom comes with maturity! Lala seems less because he is not the lead, his character isn't explored in the same depth as HS'.
HS identifies and solves problem. (Like apologizing after paraya mard lecture- although apology didn't come voluntarily but never mind.)
Lala knows how to not create problem in the first place. He knows what to say, but more importantly he knows what not to say. That's wisdom. Comes with age and experience.
