haha... interesting topic!
but frankly, i feel its upto them to call each other what ever they are comfortable calling... doent it sound odd when some one calls only "ae ji., suniye ji"?? but that used to be the trnd a coupla gens before.
there used to be this custom of not taking the husbands name at all some time earlier. i think we had grown used to it that we dont feel that odd. and all of a sudden we hear this new thing and we feel odd (yes, i do too. but again, its their wish... between the pati n patni, so i just tend to leave it there 😊 ) and who knows, we might as well get used to it after a few years. ammoos might be knowing of a trend set by one of the south indian films. every one started addressing each other with a word (the word "da") almost synonymous to yaar, but which used to be a masculine usage earlier. but that really caught up with the girls too after the movie and its so common now a days. media can set and change trends, dont you think? (apologies to the other members for sighting a vernacular example here)

lol technically she should be the one calling him baby cos he is actually younger than her.

Gurmeet Debina are the only couple that address each other by their names.
