Shweta's Comedy
[30 May 2007]

Shweta Shinde, who has done vamp's roles several times on television, has a comic side too to her personality. In fact, it comes quite naturally to her. Shweta, who is currently busy with her show Parivaar, had once done a play 'Manu Milan' opposite Ashok Saraaf a while ago for which she was highly acclaimed and was nominated for many Marathi awards.

As Shweta reveals, " Yes, I'd love to do a comedy on television someday. When I did my play I realized I was fairly good at it and I really enjoyed doing it. I am particularly fond of situational comedies and I think television these days has a lot to offer."

The actress apparently hates being typecast in a particular genre. Although she is great at playing the vamp, she is now keen on broadening her horizons and is open to experimenting.

We are sure audiences would love to watch her in a comic role too.
