Letters and file / folders in Indian TV shows?

All the letters, files or folders in these Indian shows are just shown to add more spice to the show and to make it more gripping, but they are never used. Nothing is ever revealed when a letter is written or the contents of a file or folder are looked into. Sometimes it gets very frustrating, but we are in that loop where in we keep criticizing these TV shows and their content but are hooked onto them and keep watching them.
The dance and song shows were people come out and show their true talent are more appealing to watch than these thoughtless shows. The creatives seem to shape the show based on how much they can prolong it, not based on any preset story line. In the end they do bring out a social message that Good always wins over Evil which is a big relief.
Feigning pregnancy is one other thing that is rampantly being shown in these shows. I wonder how any person can pretend to be pregnant in front of their in laws. Can't they figure out?
Parivaar is a worth watch not because of the storyline, but because of the excellent chemistry and great husband wife relationship between Shloka.....
Sometimes I feel all of us can get into making these shows if we have the right connections and can get the TV channels to televise them and have the money or can get the financing to produce them.
What do you folks think? Would like to know your opinion on this.

Very interesting post Diya. Exactly what I feel a lot of times while watching these shows. I would like to elaborate more on your views but do not have time right now. I will come back and update this space either tonight or tomorrow.

I agree Diya, I only watch Parivaar because of Shloka and it's always nice to catch the lovely family moments, when they have them. These dramas have good moments and then they prolong some of the storylines and it gets frustrating to watch. All dramas do this and that's why sometimes I stop watching them for a while (esp. if I'm not hooked to any characters or jodi) until the storyline picks up again. For example, I read yesterday's parivaar update but then decided not to watch it as it didn't have a shloka moment, but today I'll watch it has some nice shloka scenes.

Feigning pregancy has happened in real life but usually from people who don't live with you, but yes, I would say difficult if your living with your in-laws and espeically in the case of Urvashi, who always wears a sari and looks as thin as a stick from her waistline😕. But then most of the neuralkar family are a wee bit thick, deaf and blind at present.

Diya, if I had the correct connections, I believe I could come up with a way better show which would be more realistic to life and not all rona dona!
Finally, we are the audiences and we the the greatest critics of a show. For me these dramas takes me away from everyday life and into another world. I know it's fiction (thank goodness!) but we get into it and that's why we feel for the characters, get angry, frustrated and that's why we are all here on this forum! It makes you wonder, do people like Shlok and Radha really exist. Well I haven' t met any in real life but It's lovely to come across them, even if it is just fiction. They make me want to be good in life too!

I agree Simran, often I too ask the questions tht whether ppl like Shloka exists in real life too...
These documents are just for the show purpose, nth is revealed until everything is crossed for the audiences....
I just catch Shloka in the show....till now its heartening to see their relationship.....

Thanks Simran for the tip, from now on I will watch the show once I read the update. Its good to ignore shows where nothing much happens and above all if there are no Shloka scenes.
No couple like Shloka will probably exist in real life, but so far there is nothing that Radha has asked Shlok to do or has done herself that is immoral or wrong. Keeping all that in mind I think a husband will support his wife if she is like Radha in all circumstances and viceversa. All Radha does is think about the welfare of her husbands family (which is her family) and come what may she will do good for them. Moreover she is not money minded and never thinks of getting a share in the property or trying to split the family for property, which is so prevelant in society today. Keeping all that in mind I doubt if there is a person like Radha in the world and I am sure there is, atleast I want to believe there is.
When u have a selfless wife like Radha, I think any husband will support her in all circumstances. That is just my thought. As it is usually the woman / wife who is the root cause of creating the rifts, something that I am not proud of writing but is a fact.

I agree with you Diya! Sometimes the good thing about these asian dramas is that a lot of the goodness that the leads characters show, does make one think, especially when their goodness prevails and overcomes all evil. If I can take on board even half of Radha's qualities then I would count myself very lucky. My friends laugh at me when I say I watch zee tv dramas rather than the english soaps, but there are alot of good thoughts you can take away from asian dramas, especially the importance of family (your's and your husbands) and love. A good daughter, wife etc joins a family like Radha, a bad one breaks it, like Urvashi.
