One suggestion is while u continue in ur current job, u could explore some volunteering or part time opportunities if feasible to gain some experience.. Yes with the market, too much qualification or too little experience sometimes does not help... ALso i know people who do not mention their master's degree in their resumes [ though i do not agree with that approach] to get around over qualified tag..
