about the "rules" of Indian TV serials is that the protagonists always play by ALL the rules, and consider everyone's feelings except their own and that of the other leads. Save one or two major exceptional incidents (once/serial types) they have to be utterly true to their words

It's like a basic assumption. If the lead is married - forget married, if the lead has given consent directly or indirectly to marry - morally the lead cannot change their mind or go after their true love. I mean that is the basic assumption of Richa that once Sidhi is engaged Kunal wont go after her and vice versa even if the truth comes out. For leads, engagement is an unbreakable holy thing. For negative characters, marriage has no meaning and they can break as many marriages and do as many EMAs as they want. But Richa cant even imagine kunal and sidhi having an ema after kunal marries richa. And of course real world things like divorces because they want out are taboo for indian leads.
Even 9 years ago, fine Sidhi made a deal and got Kunal out of the case and landed in jail. But when Kunal came to her after that, she could have just told the truth. What's to lose? It's not like Richa can undo the court verdict. What Sidhi wanted is already accomplished. At least save them both from additional heartbreak and be assured your kids once born would be taken care of. Why invite unnecessary hatred for the rest of your life from all your family? The deed is done, explain, apologise, live with it, and seek support. But since she is the lead, she has to honor the deal till the end even when richa has no leverage left to make her say that. TELL Kunal Richa killed Rohit, why would you want your love to marry a slimy woman like that even if you want to yourself sacrifice him. Makes no sense.
I could go on and on and on, but here's the kicker.

In the real world, someone like Richa can NEVER be secure because even if she were married to Kunal, some day the truth is bound to come out. I mean all it will take is Kunal to SEE both his sons together and the kingdom of lies Richa has built will come crashing down and Kunal will definitely leave (or kill) Richa - married or not. So why would she build her hopes on something she fragile. Does she want to just GET kunal once or keep him. Dont get the logic.

Pink:-This is the question for which i did not get a proper answer. We are thinking she did it to save kunal but after coming out she wanted him to accept her. While signing creature said you to leave him permanently not temporarily and you obliged.😡Now what is this. And she hoped that he will find out the truth.Hoped that out of gesture creature will reveal the truth.😡
