Kunal - Mere Nishaan

The song "Mere Nishaan" really captured me. For the first time I heard a song from God's perspective. Lord Krishna walking around and wondering I am the one who made this world but I see no sign of my true essence. what is present is mere symbolism and baseless idols.

Given such a pathetic fan I am, made me think of Kunal & Parichay.

Parichay land itself was built for primarily Kunal. Kunal was suppose to be the center of attention and it is his story, his struggle, his perspective on matters we wished to see. Whatever took place or may take place in Parichay, we wanted to see Kunal there.

But what do we see right now? Do we have true essence of Kunal? Yesterday we sure saw a glimpse of Kunal we admire but beside that, do we have THE KUNAL CHOPRA. We see his bits and parts here there, he makes us wonder what, why but not in good way. After leap viewers truly have not been able to connect to Kunal. The strong meaning that Kunal once had is lost. I would love to see Kunal once again walking down the road with "Musafir hoon yaaro" as BG score while Kunal reflects upon his life, his actions, belief and motives. I truly want to see Kunal introspect and struggle to make sense of things. Kunal at moment seem very baseless and shallow with no explanation of 9 years, how he believed nurse very easily and to top it off this insecurity about his son. Where is meaning here, where is true essence of Kunal here?

So as the song goes, if we imagine our old KC roaming in Parichay land, he would sure question "Mere Nishaan he kaha?", very much like loyal fans wonder at the moment.

And the fact it suits him very well saddens me greatly.

there was a time when Kunal said "jaha dekho me hi me hu"; we believed that, actually loved that.
