Chapter 25- Kunal is the BOSS of Siddhi!
"Mr Kunal Chopra, you paid a very high price for this business. Everyone have walked away with a a good deal, the owner and the employees with the severance package and re-employment back in your company with a salary increment. What else could they ask for? But don't you think that the price you paid was too much than what it was actually worth.? A fiery reporter from one of the nation's national newspaper fired the question .
Kunal and his team was holding a press conference in Pan Pacific Hotel for the media on the purchase takeover. Once the sales news was announced on Monday, news just spread faster than fire and they were receiving calls non stop from Media newspapers , Radio , TVs who wanted to be the first one to cover the news. Fresh, just baked from the oven.!
Rumors has been floating in the market about the sell out for quite some time but the sudden purchase decision by someone who was totally unknown in the retail industry caught everyone by surprise.
A new player in the hyper-supermarket business is always a threat to the current operators. Everyone wants to know who, what, when ,where and how this new player will be reviving the dying business to the next level when the previous owner after operating for so many years couldn't even sustain it under the pressure of overheads. The curiosity has been evoked. Every effort will not be spared to kill the new operator . Competitors will start their campaigns on Price war, Promotions , Offers , value for money deals to dampen the growth and morale of the new player. And at the back they are just waiting...waiting for the new player to fall flat on his face and make a quick exit.. That's retail. Part and parcel of life. Only the fittest, toughest can survive in this business.
Kunal , looking very smart in his business suit attire, a black suit and white shirt. A dark blue Satin tie with diagonal light blue stipes. His hair longer ,a few locks falling across his forehead, with the designer stubble , needless to say he looked absolutely strikingly the most good looking man in the room .
"Everyone walks here a winner with this deal. . The ex-owner, the employess and even us. I would not say it was a high price. Its a reasonable price, especially as it comes with some surprising perks. Which I least expected it. And I must say, certainly the price we paid was right" Kunal said with a devilish smile.
The female reporter was almost blushing as if he complemented but still was not giving up easily. "Mr Chopra, no one has heard of you in the retail business. You core business is buying dying business and converting them to profitability and then selling at a higher price. So , it that the perks that your referring to?
"I can assure you Miss Khoo, that's not what we have in mind for now. Anything can happen in future Its hard to say. I don't believe in talking about what may or may not happen future. Anyway, for quite sometime we wanted to run and operate a retail chain and we were looking for the right package. And this comes with all the right criteria we have been searching for. So why not.try something new and we see where this would takes us ? Kunal finished philosophically.
"We have time for one more question" The moderator addressed the media.
" Mr Chopra, how do you intend to "WOW" customers to flock in to your City stores, which is by far would be the most challenging and difficult task. Asked another reporter from another newspaper.
"I have a great expansion team on board with me. We have very interesting revamps on how we will be re-engineering the stores. There will be huge changes. It will be completely different from the way it was operated before. We will have different thymes. I cant say much now. You just have to take my word for it and seeing is believing. All of you will be invited to our relaunch. Till then you just have to wait and see. Well .That will be all. Thank you . " Kunal answered and stood up.
Professional cameras were going off on shutter speed flashes all focussing on their most talked about subject in the town. Kunal Chopra.! He was an engima
" So, Kunal is back in town" Chantelle said rather than asked, to Siddhi as they were watching the news which carried a segment of the news takeover with Kunal's press conference.
"Yes" Siddhi said , not looking at her but staring at Shika who was sitting on the little stool, with her coloring book at the low coffee table...coloring away experimenting the new colour crayons she bought for her.
" So this is the reason you have been tensed these few weeks. Siddhi, you have to tell him about Shika, dear. You cant hide this forever you know."Chantelle said gently.
Siddhi remained silent. Chantelle continued
" Siddhi I know I am not your mother, but I have treated you like my own daughter. You are family to me. You need to tell Kunal about Shika. You have kept them apart too long. Sooner or later you have to tell. This is not something that you can hide forever. The truth will have to come out eventually . How long can you hide this? . I have never like the way you lied to Kunal. See how fate is playing. You ran away from him so that he will not find out but he has caught up with you. Tell him dear... don't wait. " Chantelle added
" Who's Kunal mummy? Shika asked still busy colouring. Now she had somehow put a crayon into Bobo,the plush dog, paws and forcing him to colour as well, with her aid.
Siddhi and Chantelle had totally forgotten Shika and the little girl was now picking up information easily ...they have to be careful of what they speak in her presence. Its true what they say... don't speak too much in front of little tots. You will never know !
" Is he your friend mummy, like Isabelle aunty? Shika asked looking up at the Siddhi who was now amazed at her daugher' one track mind. She now seems to be interested in Kunal.
"No, baby...he is my boss. " Siddhi said truthfully and waiting to see what other questions this little girl was going to throw next.
" Oh" Shika went back to colouring as if the answered satisfied her and she no longer was interested in the subject.
Both Chanetelle and Siddhi went to the balcony...a little farther away from the little girl.
"Chantelle, I know what you mean. Believe me. I know. I feel guilty about it. But you know what happened. I cant give her up . She means a lot to me. My only family. I cant share her with him and his new family. "Siddhi reasoned.
" She is part of him too. His flesh and blood. And he has every right to know about her . Imagine, he finds out about her twenty years later. ? They are both going to hate you. I know , I know you are gong to tell me you are least bothered about him but her, will you be able to control and manage her when she finds out the truth , what you had done.? She will never forgive you. Did it ever occur to you that in your quest to have her to yourself, she might turn against you and the thing that you dreaded all long will happen.. Family. You will lose the only family. Her ! She is now a toddler...still too young to understand . Dont leave it too late. More damage will done if you leave this too long. I don't know I just feel, that this is god way of intervening by sending Kunal to the city where you live now." With that she left the room , touching Siddhi' shoulders on her wayout.
" Mummy , Bobo wants chocolate ice cream now. He is hungry and can i have one too please?." Shika asked Siddhi . The little minx now used Bobo to get things for herself.
"Oh does he now? Siddhi scopped her daughter into her lap."What have you got there., show mummy...oh wow, baby, you have coloured very nicely." Siddhi said Kissing her daughter at her temple.
" Weally mummy? You like ? You see this one...and this one and this and that one..." Shika was now in her excitement element. So proud of the compliment and was busy flipping the pages showing to Siddhi what she had Coloured.
"Mummy, ice cream please." Shika asked again, still not forgetting even though Siddhi diverted her from that earlier onl.
"Baby its late . You will get sick if you eat ice cream so late at night. So tomorrow, you have it in the afternoon with grandma. You don't want to eat all alone now do you? Siddhi asked
" Ok...then can Mary have some ice cream too with me, Bobo and gandman" Shika asked after thinking through.
"Of course, if its ok wth Mary's mummy. Now , shall we go to bed. Lets get you all changed." Siddhi said, and the little girl , climbed down from her lap and ran quicly to the bedroom, taking out her favourite PJs from her wardrobe.
Nowadays, the little girl has acquired a taste in her own selection of what she wants to wear.. Shika seems to be very fully aware of what she wants, the trends of the latest cartoon characters and the merchandise.
Siddhi realized that her recent shopping trip, the little girl was like "Mummy, I want this. I like this... .no I don't like this..no mummy not this...that one, plzzz mummy" . Shika is now growing up slowly...Siddhi realized.
What Chantelle said was true...about Shika hating her one day and might even lose her when she finds out about Kunal.
Well, she is not going to take the risk...what if Kunal doesn't want her. She never thought about that and she didn't want her daughter to be hurt by his rejection. Its better this way. For all she knows, Kunal would not want to b saddled with a kid. Her kid especially!
She gave Shika a quick bath and changed her into her PJs and tried to sleep. The little girl went off like a light but Siddhi had trouble sleeping.
She thought about the day she called him to agree to his conditions. He was at the attorney's office with the commissioner of oath. It was all officially sealed. No escape. He had her under his control now. Kunal was so business like and he didn't show any emotion on the brief passionate encounter they had shared. It was like as if she was a signing a business contract.Well it was wasn't it. She felt a bit disappointed. What did she expect?
After signing, she walked ahead of him and went into the lift. Just when the lift door was about to close, a large had came to stop the doors. And Kunal stepped into the lift and went to one corner of the lift. He was looking straight on at Siddhi, who was on the other corner, refusing to look at him . The lift was descending from the 36th floor.
From the side of her right vision, she could see him. "Eric will be so happy to know what a loyal staff you are now, willing to do anything to save him. A model employee." Kunal said casually after a few seconds of silence.
Siddhi turned around and looked at Kunal with sparks of anger flying from her eyes" Its not like as if I have any other options, do I.? You made sure of that and please stop talking about , the choice was mine..'Siddhi said raising her right hand to stop him from talking as she knew what he was going to say next.
" You know very well, you are playing a dirty game on this. You are doing this to spite me. Take revenge. You are mixing business and personal life. And don't pretend as if I am doing this willingly . You are forcing me to do this." Siddhi hissed and looked at him with disgust.
"And May i remind you, I didn't arm wrestle you, or put a knife at your throat .You called me and came her on your own. So no obligation. Your decision to stay entirely" Kunal shrugged in a dismissive casual manner.
"Bull shit! siddhi huffed.
" You look beautiful, when you are angry" Kunal said so suddenly ...
Siddhi was now blushing . He had this habit of saying the most unexpected thing in the most inconvenient places and she felt like hyperventilating.!
" And you look like a devil, an advocate's devil.." siddhi returned tartly.
Kunal gave a short burst of laugher. He hit a button on the lift and stopped the lift.
"What are you doing? Why are you stopping the lift" Siddhi asked with bewilderment and fear. Fear that she might fall back into his arms...or for god sake woman , she told herself.Stop it.!
He came forward and tipped her chin and said " If you ever for one minute think about the breaking this contract, you will be sorry that you were ever born, for I will enjoy suing you till you have nothing to give.I will take everything. No mercy at all even if you beg me. You hear me? Capish?So Dont even try any of your tricks.It wont work this time" Kunal warned, really now looking like every inch of the devil she called him.
"How could i when I have signed the deal with the Satan now" Siddhi said too...
"Devil, Satan hmmm... I have been called a few names but its a pleasure to always hear those horrid endearing wicked names you have for me from that beautiful mouth of yours. You think about me a lot i think to come up with such adjectives" Kunal said with a wink and a slow smile.
Siddhi raised her eyes heavenwards" Oh please, don't kid yourself. I never think of you at all.Stop deluding yourself. You are hardly in my thoughts. I don't think about you at all. I have other important things to think about" Siddhi answered.
"Careful Siddhi, I wouldn't advise you to issue just challenges. I might just put it to test to differ your statement, how you fail miserably. We still have time...want me to prove you how wrong you are?" Kunal asked glancing at his watch. The damn man was talking about seducing her in the lift! He was shameless. He cocked his head to one side as if waiting for her answer and she realized that they were some where hanging it mid of floors.
"Don you dare! Keep your hands off me ,you brute!" Siddhi heart was beating too fast.
" Another new name...you never fail to amaze me. Its too rushed. . Next time. I want to take it slow and easy. " Kunal shook his head and moved away from her and hit the lift button to set the lift back in motion.
He held the door for her to precede him. Next time! Oh so, she was so weak was she..? You just wait Kunal! You will come begging me to take you into my arms. And she stopped mid stride. What did she just say? Oh holly smokes, where was her mind going?. She doesn't want him in her arms. He can lay his head on Richa's big bosom for all she care! His wife! The two deserve each other.
At 4 pm , after a closed door meeting with Kunal , Eric called for an urgent meeting for all his senior managers and announced that now he can take a long rest as he sold the business to a worthy man who, he knew will bring the business to the next level with lots of success.
He asked everyone, to give all the support ,co-operation and assistance to Kunal and his team . Kunal was there barely five minutes in the meeting . He just gave a short speech and said he will have a separate meeting within the next few day and he left them with Eric as this was their private moment, after the announcement .
They had champagne and some finger food served. Eric with his speech, left no one with dried eyes. They were all going to miss him. But at least he can now retire peacefully without any financial burden.
"Siddhi, my dear, you wanted to talk to me the other day. I have all the time now. What is my dear., that you wanted to see me about? Eric asked remembering the morning she came in to speak to him.
"Its alright, Eric. Everything has been sorted out. Nothing to worry about.." Siddhi assured Eric. How ironic. A few days ago she wanted to to give in her resignation and to request for early release and now she is held a prisoner, a captive against her own wishes by the man very man she fled more than 3 years ago . Kunal had her secured without any chains and balls but just on paper with heavy penalties if she breaks it. It would take several life time to pay him back for breach of contract.!
Was he married.? She will try to sieve some information from Isabelle, or so casually tomorrow. She didn't see any rings on his fingers...does that mean he is still unmarried? She was curious...he would not behave like that with her if he was married to Richa will he...hey wait a minute but he did when he was married to her with Richa...so why not?. Man they are devious.They are all the same when ti comes to a pretty woman. They will do anything and Kunal is no different. He had all the natural instincts.!
Finally she drifted into sleep...where she was dreaming of running through a thick forest breathing with panicky breaths for she was being chased right behind her by Kunal on a stallion riding furiously , and easily lifting her with one arm from the ground ...and she was begging , pleading to let her go...
She shot up in bed! She was cold with perspiration ...it was just a dream...or was it a night mare?
Next day she was in the office at her usual time. She read the news. All the newspapers carried the takeover news and Kunal pictures splashed across all the papers. He was front page news. !. She went over to Isabelle too but before that . a visit to a coffee place for takeaways.
Isabelle was busy at her computer and she looked up at Siddhi when she entered her room.
"Good morning, Siddhi.Hmmm my life saver... " Isabelle said, sniffing the aroma of fresh coffee that Siddhi was holding in her hand
"Here's your coffee, from Starbucks" Siddhi placed it on the table and took a sit opposite Isabelle
"Oh I need this. I have tons of work to do Siddhi but I am happy to do it.. The severance package for Eric and re-employment contract, which Kunal asked me to work on a draft for him to go through. Dont mind, you carrying on talking while I get this done. Dont worry I am listening to you though" Isabelle smiled taking a sip of the coffee.
"We are the talk of the town everywhere" Siddhi said taking a sip of her coffee.
"We certainly are" Isabelle agreed. "Word is that, ever other retailer had NEVER heard of this company taking over. All they know is the game has changed and everyone is just waiting to see what Kunal is upto as he has not revealed anything... , how different he will showcase the hyper-supermarket concept. As far as they are concerned, they have seen everything. Nothing new he could bring. I hear our close competitors has predicted that he will pack up within six months. Its a suicide mission to have bought the stores at such price. for they have seen nothing he could bring and what would Kunal know anything about retail being a newbie in this arena" Isabelle said with a shrug as if she could not bothered about what others think.
"You sound as if their prediction will not come true. You believe in Kunal Chopra.You think he can pull this off successfully" Siddhi queried.
" I know one thing. Kunal Chopra is an acute businessman besides being had a career of a successful, a force to be reckoned with as a lawyer. Business and law, he is a deadly combination. He buys and sells business. Knows when to strike the deal. Made tons of money buying ailing business, revamp and then selling at very high price, so I hear from his expansion team. I agree he's a newbie in this business to operate himself. But I believe he is not a fool to want to operate if he doesn't see any thing profitable for him He's is a risk taker and he goes for the big fish. So ,yes Siddhi I have a feeling that he will turnaround the stores with greater success and he has something up his sleeve , for sure. "Isabelle finished with confidence.
"You think very highly of him don't you?" Siddhi asked .
"He's seems to be decent honest man. A no nonsense man. Time is precious and he makes full use of it. Comes straight to the point and doesn't care about mincing his words and he's right ,all the time. The way he talks to Eric, you can see he has huge respect for him. And the farewell speech..he didn't want to intrude on it as he knew this was the Eric's e moment and he left the room with just few short words . I like that. " Isabelle said with smile.
" I guess he will be bringing his family here , now that he's going to be fully in charge" Siddhi waited with bated breath for the answer.
"Family? You mean wife and kdis? I suppose so. He would want his family to be near him, instead of staying away from them for too long. Easier if they stayed with him." Isabelle answered typing away and looked up at Siddhi
" You know what, I don't know why, I feel he is not married . He does not appear to be married. But I am sure he has a live in girlfriend. He's very attractive.I don't think he will be left alone. Why are all the good looking guys taken up?" Isabelle sighed as if she too was on queue.
" So you don't know if he's married or not? Siddhi tried againg to get an affirmative anwwer.
"Not yet, but once I do his paperwork for his stay in Singapore, I will know for sure.By the way, Madame, don't think I don't know..why the sudden interest in Mr Kunal Chopra's marital Status Dont tell me you have fallen for him like some of the females here" Isabelle teased.
" Me? Fallen for Kunal Chopra ? He's not my type at all..." stopping as Isabelle turned as white as ghost,now staring past her shoulder at the open dooryway.
"He's right behind me, isn't he" Siddhi said in a statement, at the now paled looking Isabelle, who refused even to acknowledge the lame attempt of o joke by Siddhi. This was terrible!
"And exactly what is your type Ms Malik. " Kunal asked from the doorway
Siddhi didn't say anyting. Didnt turn around. Just closed her eyes daming her. What a timing!. Took a deep breath and turned around to face him. Might as well. She stood up .
He was in wearing a long sleeve finely checked sky blue shirt and a dark indigo tie. He was carrying his jacked which was casually draped across his left arm.
" Good morning Mr Chopra" Siddhi said and wanted to walk out of the room except he would not let her pass and the gap was a little to narrow for her to pass through without touching him. Wretched man! Couldnt he come a little later.?
"Come on Ms Malik, indulge us, do continue your preference . No wonder Eric had to wind up his business. . With his senior staff talking about their personal life choices during office time, why I am not surprised the poor man had no one looking after his business at all?. Now if you have finished with the office gossip at my time, Isabelle is the reemployment draft ready for my review.? Bring it to my office." With that, he turned around and walked away, giving a cursory stare at Siddhi who was now seriously loss of words being caught red handed by the boss himself.
"Whoops.. OMG, Siddhi...too fast. I could not signal you in time to stop. Couldnt hear his footstep. Before I know it. He was behind you dear. I better get going ,before he comes here again. Hey don't worry...these things happen.I don't think he heard everything...just the last bit" Isabelle, said hurriedly and dashed out of the room like a rabbit.
Great going Siddhi.In your quest of find out about his marital status, you made a fool of yourelf. Now he has labelled you as an office gossiper and to add to that , an incompetent employee who brought down the business .! He was so full of arrogance!
Really, Kunal is full of attitude. Who asked him to eavesdrop. Hello? A voice said. The man came to see isabelle and found you there , well talking about himself. Why blame him.? You would react too in the same way , mocked her inner voice. Oh well, so be it.
What must he be thinking? Gosh how much did he hear about their conversation. She hoped not too much. She didn't want him to think that she was snooping around the office sieving information about his personal life.
She went back to her office. There was an email from Isabelle asking all senior managers, directors to gather at the conference room at 10 a.m for a meeting called by Kunal Chopra.
By 9.55 a.m, everyone was on time and seated. The door opened and Kunal walked in just on time. The man was a stickler for puncuality .All stood up . Kunal went around the table, shaking hands with everyone one and asking then to sit.
Siddhi sat farthest away from him. Kunal started the meeting
"Good morning everyone. As you all know , the takeover deal has been signed successfully . Eric will be here for a week for the handover . In a couple of days , Eric will hand out the severance money and we will have the re-employment contract signed together."
"All of you will continue doing your current job, except some changes in reporting level as I cant be everywhere. There will be new directors whom I have already appointed in Merchandise, operation, Marcom, Finance, Business Development, IT. No changes in HR, security, services. "
"Isabelle will be promoted as the executive director. "
And finally, Siddhi will be the legal head director. All local and international contracts need to be reviewed, re-written and Siddhi will take charge of that and all legal matters."
"My new directors have already worked out the strategy , the plan which will be shared with you by this week, to start the work process"
"We will work on the city stores and then moved on to the heartlands. All city stores will be closed next week to start on the work. Work will be completed within three months before opening for relaunch"
"Everyone here being Senior executive, are expected to put in extra hours as we cant fall back behind schedule. We need to go fast on this project.Time is money . The longer we drag, more funds needs to be pumped in.So I want to avoid that and want to finish it on time. "
If there is anyone here who feels unable to cope, now is the time to tell . And you can leave this room. No question asked. I respect your decision."
Kunal finished after dropping the bombshell on the last bit.
Everyone was silent. No one moved. Kunal looked around the room and was looking at Siddhi.
Like as if she would walk out! She would have loved to do that under normal circumstance but not with that contract.!!!
"Alright. Very good. Decision made.So everyone is in. Isabelle, organize the meeting on Friday afternoon for the strategy meeting"
"Thank you Ladies and gentleman. That will be all" Kunal stood up and left the room .
Everyone didn't breath a word and went back to their own offices in a sort of daze but in a good way . No one wanted to leave.
"See me in my office now..." Kunal email came when Siddhi , was just about to leave the office for the day. It was almost close to 7 pm..
Now what? Siddhi wondered. The devil has summoned for her .
She took a writing pad and a pen and went to Kunal's office. As she went pass other offices, she noticed that almost all has left except the IT office where some staff were still working.
He was seated behind the massive desk. He was keying in something on his lap top. She knocked his door and he beckoned her to come in by his inclining his head without looking up from what he was doing."
She sat before him , waiting for him to finish. He was still typing away furiously . She was looking at him and seeing that the 3 years has not really aged him. Infact he looked more handsome than before. He aged gracefully. He was in his forties but he didn't look his age at all. He kept himself in shape. Trim and well toned...she remembered laying across his chest..
"Do I meet your requirement now?" Kunal asked and Siddhi snapped from her reverie. Embarassed being caught at staring at him.
" Um... em.. what is you wanted to see me about Mr Chopra" she ignored his question
"Just want to let you know, I don't tolerate office gossips on my time. I expect you to be on time to work and stop going around disturbing people who are working. Understood?" Kunal asked looking at her as like the discipline master reprimanding a spoilt child.! How dare he?
" Just as you know, that I am always on time and I never go around disrupting others when they work. You ve got it all wrong. " Siddhi explained calmly but really wanted to scream for his high handedness.
" Not from where I was standing and what I was hearing, Siddhi. I am not interested on my staff discussing about their personal wants, likes , loves at office time. You do that on your own time. Here, you do your job. Is that clear Siddhi.?
"Crystal clear Mr Chopra. Now if that's all, May I leave? Siddhi stood up
"Sit down! I have not finished yet. " Kunal said angrily. Luckily Serene, his secretary was not at her desk or she would have seen through the glass window panel ,that both Kunal and Siddhi were hostile and tensed.
"I want you to go through the re- employment contract Isabelle has drafted to check if everything is in order. I don't want any legal tangle on any issues. Here take this and come back to me in half an hour once you are done."
"Half an hour? Siddhi looked aghast at the contract . It was a good ten pages and he wanted this in half an hour. He must be kidding. Siddhi thought and looked at him if he was serious or not . And he was.!
"Yes, half an hour. At the most 1 hour. I have to approve this . I want everyone to sign this by tomorrow before we start our meeting on Friday. Kunal spoke adamantly.
"But Kunal , there are a few different contracts here for different levels. . each about ten pages...I will need at least a good half day to go through this for any discrepancies. Its impossible to have this finished within half an hour. And its almost 8 pm . Why don't I bring this home, work on it tonight, and return to your tomorrow morning" Siddhi suggested.
" Didnt I say very clearly today, that I will not tolerate clock watchers and any excuses in not completing the job? Looks like you have already started to whine. Why, do you have a date with pretty lover? . Cant do without him ? Kunal said in a mocking tone.
" And by the way, no official documents leave the office. These are private and confidential. I don't know what you used to do before but it stops here now. " Kunal reminded her harshly.

She walked away angrily to her office. She made a call to Chantelle saying she will be late. At this rate, her daughter will start to think that she is a visiting aunty!
She was fuming mad. She was seething in anger...and at the same time she was going through the contracts making notes here and there for amendments.
Making excuses was she ,he said. Clock watcher.! He was right about something. Some one was waiting for her at home. Her daughter. His too said a voice which she once again pretended not to hear.
Finally she finished . She was so engrossed in it that she didn't realize it was almost close to 11 pm.
She took the file and went into his room. He was still busy at his computer. His tie now gone and his shirt sleeves now rolled up to his elbows.
"Here its all done. I made some notes where some amendment are required." , she put the files with loud thud on his desk and finally he looke up at her, stopped what he was doing. Giving her full attention.
"And just for your information, I am not a clock watcher or finding excuses or running away from work. You can check that with anyone. here . And don't ever talk about my private life as I have reminded you many times its none of your business!. I agreed to this stupidity only because of Eric. Otherwise I would have walked out today when you issued that ultimatum or even long before that as you so rightly said. . By the way, Isabelle gave you this draft this morning...and you had time only to pass it to me now? Dont think I don't what you are doing. You deliberately held this file to keep me working late. Maybe you are the one who needs to be reminded about unnecessary extra working hours" Siddhi finished with her acid dialogue delivery with a quietness she didn't know where she got it from .
Her face was stinging colour in red . With that burning anger sensation still in her, she turned around, registering that Kunal just stopped what he was doing from the moment the files landed on his table with that rude noise. All the while she was talking, he just sat there listening without a flicker of emotion except the fierce sparks emitting from his eyes, warning her that she had gone a bit too far this time. She was trodding on the dangerous path. Well she could care less. Someone need to put him un his place.
She almost jumped out of her skin when her office door crashed opened loudly ,kicked opened by Kunal's foot. Oh boy, now she has woken the sleeping tiger !
