Well why can i not say Good Bye?? Will have lot's of questions come July16th since looks like there are differences betn Bangalorean Kannada and rest.. Similar to Pune Marathi and rest...

You didn't get what i meant will explain in detail 😉

there is no literal translation for good bye in Kannada (most of the Indian langs i think)

Hogi baruve literally means i'l go & comeback, so its told by the person who initiates goodbye.

In response to that you have to say Hogi ba, meaning go & comeback

so ideally when i say goodbye 1st in kannada you have to respond it by hogi ba...if you are saying goodbye 1st in kannada you can say hogi baruve at that time.

Hope its clear now 😕 & its said in the same way all over Karnataka
