First of all i did not find that scene out of place at all. If you recall before entering Siddhi's place (God i forgot her brother's name) he said to change mood and the sequence was nice. It was nice scene but the scene before shilpa's sangeet - in red saree was better according to me.

I did not find it - my honest opinion It was one of his good scene not the best -
