have u thought like after 4 years what u want to do...and choose subjects accordingly as in IITs the pressure of studies is quiet high because of competition (they have relative grading syst) so eod u should be enjoying studying that subject...all the IITs except the newly opened ones have good placement record...infact my younger sister have completed her b.Tech from IIT Madras in Metalurgical branch..and now working with reliance petroleum...
