kunal believes tat chopras family give imp to values. he knew abt gaurav but abt character,he trusts his bro. he trusts her wife wat ever she does it's for good, but in this case it's leading to seema n gaurav MUs n seperation n no solid proofs frm siddhi to prove it. if it's leading to sinal MU then he drops this matter here. if kunal or sinal together solving gaurav matter then he may see other way as seema is feeling bad n gaurav is inteligently defending himself, so tat with out seema-gaurav seperating then can solve the issue later.

initially i also felt he should have supported siddhi ... but logically he had to support gaurav ...

he did mention in his lines he can accept that he has his own flat and moreover he can't do such things with seema and kids ... but the way he said it was like some deep thoughts was going on in his mind ... he actually judged the situation well he know's siddhi is not wrong but then he also trusts his bro as he does his sis cos whenever he saw raveena with rohit always trusted her though we all know what was the reality and didn't even had a second thought and every man would always trust his family member first rather than anyone else here i know its his wife but still benefit of doubt goes with gaurav .. but kunal will come to know about gaurav's EMA soon and then he will support siddhi and bring this crap too end ... also we might have to tolerate this whole track for next whole week ...

It is very natural for Kunal to trust his brother. He didn't say he doesn't trust Siddhi, but she could've misunderstood the situation. If Gaurav does succeed in defending himself, there might be some MU or issues between Sinal. If such issue is handled well, it will put Kunal and Siddhi in center and can be treat for us viewers.
