Kidnapping/Hosp vs CurrTrack - Kunal & Siddhi

Continuity isn't exactly a strong point in this show. What happens on one day is very often, conveniently forgotten the next. Whether that is due to a flawed, incomplete script or some sort of master plan that aims at confusing the viewers is anyone's guess.😉

Nonetheless, shy, introverted people, like Kunal, who hide behind a taciturn, glib facade, do find it difficult to let go of their self made akdu image & admit to their softer side. During the kidnapping/hospital scenes, the walls of denial & bravado came tumbling down, now the next big step is to open up & accept in front of her & the rest of the family.
Besides, its a known fact, that partnerships forged during life threatening situations have less chances of surviving in normal life. What binds a couple together during a calamity, need not keep them together in day to day life. Kunal retreated into his shell after Siddhi came home & this week he's realized how it's the little things that he misses the most.

All of this could have been portrayed in a finer way, There is no doubt that the writers need to improve their lot, someone seems to be following only the main outline of the storyboard with total disregard for the finer points, resulting in the characters appearing to be almost like split personalities😕

I agree completely to what you have mentioned, shy and introvert..that is how Kunal is..so its not his ego which is stopping him, it is just not his nature to say things..unnecessarilyl ppl call it ego..it is just that he cant express it..and I think he isnt alone there are a lot of ppl who can't express tings easliy, and guys more so I think..loving someone and then telling are two different things..

And his image, I think he hasnt made the image, the image is stuck on to him..and now he has no say over it..and cant change it..the image is dragging him or defining him rather than the other way around.

I just want to say Kunal is not so akdu and not egotist..It is just one last barrier he needs to break/cross ie to say it verbally to Siddhi in a situation where both can decipher what is happening.. and not in behoshi..but in senses.. Once he says it once..everything will be well..

Lot of us go through that initial shyness/ hesittation to say it the first time..and then its ok..So he will..

After Fari, after Annie, it is you where we have lot of similiarities,,the entire para is what I feel 100% 😃

Fari, Pooja, I am a little upset with Kunal today😡 I am very fond of his character but yesterday the way he took his hand away when their hands accidentally touched has left me fuming. I understand him not wanting to cross the ILU barrier but just hold her hand and give it a squeeze damnit 😡 No words required. He has realized how much he misses her right, just that one touch to assure her of that would go so far for the both of them

Annie, we are back to bickering, but on the flip side😲 Im taking up for Kunal, while you are against him. Weird eh?😆

I didnt like the scene for its poor execution, it was lame & incomplete, to say the least. But I totally understand kunal's predicament.

The Mr. attitude/akdu label, whether self inflicted or not is what has come to define Kunal in the eyes of the world. This naqab is what he has hidden behind when he needed a private place, it has seen him through his worst days, it's helped him put up a brave front & laugh at the world, when the world was in fact laughing at him. It's been painful enough to admit to himself that he loves her. It took a kidnapping/near death situation for him to come out of denial & now he has to take the last but huge step forward & admit it to her. Just think of what kind of a vulnerable place he is in, given his own past & battling her's as well.
Saying those 3 magical words for anyone, let alone someone as messed up as Kunal, carries a huge amount of risk, there is fear of rejection, of being misunderstood or worse, fear of your feelings not being reciprocated. At every step, he has faltered, yet he can't stay away. Snubbing her gives him temporary control over his emotions yet after the fleeting relief comes the ache of longing.
Against his will, he has dragged himself to Ujjain & once again he doesnt know how to proceed. He knows what he must do, but can't bring himself to do it, bcz what he has to do is strip himself of all his accumulated layers & expose his soul to her.
I could not do it, if I were in his place... it's the one time, i feel like comforting him by saying...there, there, its gonna be alright😭

I am not sure if fear of rejection or misunderstanding is there or not - SIddhi has broken the ice and has pushed him many times to confess but it is just his ego that is coming in his way. Even he knows that Siddhi likes him and can do anything for him and his family. That's just it, but he isnt sure whether she can love him given the Anand factor...even on Valentines day he said that she is seeking Anand in him. I dont think it's his ego per se, it's more, the akdu aura that he cant break free of.

For sure going to Ujjain was not against his will - From day 1 when Raj said he is not coming he wanted to go - He knew that he can not leave without her - he so wanted to go with her. Yes, true, but now he simply has to get there & he is willing to come up with flimsy excuses & look ridiculous. But once he gets there, its again the same story, he doesnt know how to proceed & steps back into his comfort zone ie: akdu smart alecky kunal😕

regarding taking layers off - yes he needs to take the layers off - layers of misunderstanding his own self, his own battle,his own ego and then clearing it with her.

Communication is the key here - but instead of sensibly talking when they meet out of frustration they don't talk and end up in nok -zhok.

But you said truly it is difficult to do then saying - Yes, easier said than done

Fari- I am almost with you 100% on all the points..just that my views are more on the friday episode when the whole world was telling he is akdu and etc etc..which i feel he isn't..he is caught in the web of his image only.. I wanted to make a post a while ago, meet me, I am kunal chopra, the akdu person..probably now is the time 😉
