Sorry guys for the late analysis. Thank you all for reading and giving me your comments inspite of my irregular schedule.

We know that always it happens on shows that the hero gets arrested on a Saturday. They have to spend the 2 nights in jail so when I heard it I was here we go again. Little did I realize it was a tit for tat for Rohit.

So as I figured Thakral was the one to jump into conclusions. Now I thought in the flashback that they showed Richa telling him all the way till the end . Maybe on second thoughts they did not and I assumed with the bits and pieces it looked like she did say the entire story. So till where she was the story told to Thakral to assume rape. Because when he said his intoxicated ILU he did mention Siddhi. I think there is somewhere a disconnect.WhenI saw the way Richa was devastated I was like ok so now we are going to see Thakral fight a case based on assumptions. Oh boy was I wrong. I did not realize that Richa would really fabricate a false tale of rape. Did she think that after this Siddhi will leave Kunal and Kunal will run back to her or was her objective now to just take revenge against him. If it's the former then did she not realize that Kunal would be totally disgusted with her and since he was no longer in love with her he would rather have no one in his life.

Adding the ViRa scene is to make them come closer with her slowly realizing all her mistakes. But knowing Raveena this will not sink in right now. With Rohit brought into the picture she is bound to go back to him and then will realize that she does not love Rohit but Vikram.

Initially I was like why was Siddhi pleading to Richa especially when she knew how Richa is. But then when you think of it Siddhi won the challenge. So indirectly she did have a hand at sending Kunal to jail by accepting the challenge . She knew Richa would do anything to get him and that would mean for Siddhi to not get Kunal. It would have sounded the same at the time of the challenge but right now it has become 2 different meanings. Since Richa has not succeeded in getting Kunal its all about not letting Siddhi either. It's the same obsessed lover pattern if i cannot get my happiness then then you are not to be happy either. if you don't get then no one should. I thought that Richa will tell her to leave Kunal in exchange for setting him free. Looks like Richa does not want Kunal and its about having him pay the price for admitting he does not love her any more. So although it makes sense to plead the way it kind of shows her weakness. She was supposed to be the one who decided the night of the divorce she would fight for Kunal;s love . So what happened to that thought. I am sure going forward she would do it not because she wanted to more because she was forced to. Again that's where I have a problem with Siddhi's character. The flip flop happening at a heartbeat. One moment is all aggressive and the second moment she is all submissive. I think the CV;s are trying to show that she displays emotions as per the situation but in my book it misses it because she does the wrong thing at the wrong situation.

<Priya> gain that's where I have a problem with Siddhi's character. The flip flop happening at a heartbeat. One moment is all aggressive and the second moment she is all submissive. Thanks Priya. Nice analysis as always. I posted similar comments in EDT about Siddhi's flipflop.
Atleast Kunal's character has to the most part being shown consistent. Yes he is arrogant but has stuck to his principles either professionally or personally. Even with the guilt and divorce decision post consumation, his character has been shown consistent. No flip flops. Though he is still hurt and has feelings for Siddhi but does not want her to sad and unhappy [ atleast that is what he thinks]

But in Siddhi's case, till Raveena's suicide, she has always been shown calm exterior and fighting qualities. Even Kunal said in the hospital" Tum jise chaihe jab chaihe mana hi leti ho".
Now all of sudden in past 2 weeks, she has been show to flip flop every min. Even Seema made a comment that she cannot understand Siddhi these days.
Really not sure what CVs are trying to show or tell us about Siddhi's recent behaviour.
Yes she is in love and cannot see Kunal in pain. Also agreed that she may think she is responsible for Kunal in jail becoz of the challenge. Now how can that get fixed by pleading to Ritcha to withdraw the case and she going away from his life? When Ritcha indicated she is doing this to teach Kunal lesso
n.
Hope CVs bring some sense into Sinal characters and show in general. It is getting drifted away.

I'm new to this forum and after reading all of your comments for a few weeks now (Priya's, Kshiti's etc), I'm compelled to join in. I found your thread to be very interesting and exactly what I was thinking too. Like shamrish says the show is drifting now. Suddenly Siddhi's personality has changed especially since the middle of January. I can't recall the exact episode number or the date but it's the one right before the challenge between Richa and Siddhi that I started noticing the difference in the show. The dialogue, the direction, the scenes are all somehow different than how they used to be. It looks like one of the key people in the creative team might have left/fired or even the director might have changed. There is a lot of difference between the older episodes as compared to the ones since middle of January.

There's nothing new or interesting about this show anymore. It's back to the same old 'Indian movie/tv' theme where the poor woman cries at the drop of a hat, begs at the feet of a witch, can't speak up in front of her husband to declare her love or tell him what she has found out about Richa. In spite of a husband who very forcefully defends her when his own father and brother accuse her of helping Raveena elope. In fact, in that episode Kunal tells her that he will never doubt her and has lots of bharosa in her. It's pathetic how the CVs are making her look now. It's bad enough that Kunal is shown as below 'gold medalist' level if not an idiot, now we have to see Siddhi crying for everything!! Where's her backbone? Supposed to be a good lawyer working in one of the best firms! Where's the woman who rips her prospective brother-in-law when he meddles with her engagement with Anand!

I would like to know one thing, are the current set of CVs of this generation or are they of the 60s/70s era?

We are told that CVs/editors are armed with 10-15 experience and have done previous EK shows.
Old habits do not die and i think in the name of melodrama, promise to keep some characters longer [ aka witcha] , we get to see all this. You are right about we behind reminder of 70-80's masala movies. But good thing then was we had to bear this torture for 30 min to 1 hr and then life was good.
Here we are in this for months or sometimes upto a year.

Welcome and I am glad that you liked all the banter and took the time to comment. I do agree that the change of Siddhi's character could be a part of changing people from the creative or production team . The real has got transported to the reel in a way that the viewers are not able to get a grasp on what exactly is trying ot be portrayed. Siddhi normally was cool and composed and was able to stay calm and quiet if the situation did get out of control. However right now instead of getting a composure she just starts to plead .So there seems to be conflicts on what is trying to be portrayed . They are portraying her right now as in love and ready to do anything . But there is a huge disconnect as that is not what comes out. It comes out as a weak person in time of need who needs to always rely on others to push her in the right direction.

<shamrish> We do not know if there is a change in creative or production team. Would be good if someone has contacts to find that out.
in love and ready to do anything is being shown in any masala movie or any other serial [ somethng similar was being shown in Phulwa today as well]. But Siddhi was shown to be a lawyer and composed and calm and fighter who even held Kunal's hand twice to stop him from hitting [ once herself and 2nd time Raveena]. Now a sudden change in her character does not go well and she is being shown vulnerable just to create a melodrama and get Thakral the upperhand [ there could have been other ways to get the point across rather than taking an easier route]

Great Analysis priya...
Good justification for the behavior of siddhi today...

Then we want a jhansi ki rani out of siddhi...
thats what fits in to be Mrs. Siddhi kunal chopra...
she should also be shown fierce after all she is the life support system of Mr, Attitude...

hi

enjoyed reading everyones take

the best parts for me witcha rem, kunal saying siddhi i love you. haha and the sinal fbs in the end, they from both sinal's pov and the song was beautiful and so apt for the situation

vik once again proved that he is seema's brother, to the point and sensible. its a pity kunal's siblings dont understand him (expect anand)
and vik seema do.

witcha is disgusting, she has no shame what so over, the wa she faked her story infront fo her dad with so much confidence was sick.

okay i know many of us arent pleased with seeing siddhi beg witcha but like mentioned by priya and kshiti she didint have much of an option. i wished siddhi would have taken a tape recorder with her, but i dont think serial characters esp lead ones are shown that intelligent ever.

witcha is taking revenge over kunal, bec he fell in love with siddhi.

witcha openly told siddhi kunal did nothing and its all a fake case, so now siddhi will be 10000% sure that that night what she heard from kunal's mouth in hotel was not the full truth.

plus witcha told siddhi kuanl forget witcha and her love, which yet again should confirm to siddhi that kunal has no love feelings for witcha, no wonder witcha is taking revenge

rohit taunting siddhi made me think maybe he manages to help siddhi in future if they are going the court case way. rohit could do that to get in the good books of chopra so he can get closer to raveena

looks like we will get a court case, and more looks like siddhi will fight for kunal but i hope we see kunal seing the real witcha soon, he needs to know that she betrayed his friendship
