I also come from a Brahmin family and I think we didn't have MB at home either. didn't know the reason for it and didn't ask as I was very little when I was back in India. BTW, My husband is also from Bombay sadly I have never been there.

Actually in Mahabharat, brothers and cousins are pitted against each other and its considered to bring fights between the men in the house if kept a copy. 😲

u should come to Bombay its a lovely place. of all things that i miss here in CO is the hustle bustle of the city...

The reason I don't go to India or Bombay is because I don't have any family back in India. Both my Husband and my side of families are here so no reason to go back to India. But someday I would like to go and see my Hubby's home where he was born and all as they still have the house in Bombay.

hi Savz, of course my Mother tongue is Hindi. I am originally from North India and at home, I still speak Hindi with my parents.
