Help me out here because I want to deconstruct this notion of what it means to be a bad boy when it comes to Veer.
What have we seen of Veer so far?
He doesn't like to take interest in the family business, he drinks and he parties and he doesn't like Chipku Sanjana.
But is that enough to label him as a "bad boy"? 😕
He doesn't like to interest in the family business. So what? They are many kids out there who don't necessarily want to take part in what their parents are doing. But does that mean they're all bad?
He drinks. But he hasn't exemplified any aggressive or negative behaviors as a result of it. He's only had hangovers which are typical from drinking.
He parties. Again, many kids his age party or go clubbing. But doesn't mean that they're all bad. It's merely a social activity.
Doesn't like Sanjana. Again, not a bad thing. He has his preference in girls and Sanjana isn't one of them. Him calling her "plastic" and "chipku" isn't him deliberately trying to demean her. It's him trying to let her know that he is simply not interested in her.
Rather, I see some good qualities in him. He doesn't pretend to present himself in a different way to Raghav. He is frank about what he thinks of and what the family thinks of him as well. Then there's also Ira. He literally spends all his time with her so he has a sense of brotherly duties and how to treat women. When we saw him in the club, he didn't approach anyone. Rather, a group of women approached him and when he did dance, it was with the women who had expressed interest in him at first.
As for the accident, it was just that. It was an accident. It's not like he was hunting the roads for pregnant women to run over.
I don't know. What do you all think?
