Premature Opening of the Third Eye-Known problems?

Have you guys ever heard of any problems with opening the third eye prematurely? That is somewhat a fear of mine. I am currently into Kundalini yoga, and I do feel very imbalance, and don't think I am ready for it yet, even though I also feel that the subconcious/higher self wouldn't allow it to happen if you are not ready for it. But..... What were to happen if it did open before you were ready to see things that you are not psychologically ready for? I have ready of people who's had traumas where their third eye were spontaneously opened and they either became chizophrenic, dilusional, etc. Do you have any first hand experience of something like that actually happened? (Not that you've heard, or a friend of a friend of a relative, lol)
