The clock struck 12. She saw dhara di and gombi video calling dev rishita to wish them a happy anniversary. They gave a formal smile and thank you as reply.
" Raavi. Tu dekh Zara ki saari taiyaariya ho gayi hai ki nahi. Ek baar aloo Gobi mai namak chakh lena " dhara said to raavi who absent mindedly went to the kitchen.
The world was slowly turning black. Her head stopped hurting.her tears had almost dried up.She felt a strange sense of peace.she could hear some voices shouting her name and banging the door, but the voices seemed to go farther and farther.
She jerked back to reality when she touched the hot handle of the pan.
" Raavi" shiva came to see her wincing in pain.
" Dhyaan kahaan rehta hai tera gadhedi? Lagi tujhe? Dard ho raha hai? " He said as he put her finger under the running water of sink.
" Tu hai na. Sambhal liya mujhe. Hamesha ki tarah " she whispered looking at him in a daze.
Shiva looked at her confused. She looked lost.
" Tu thik hai? " He asked cupping her cheeks.
She nodded as she placed a hand over his.
" Mai madad kar deta hu. Bol kya kaam baaki hai. " He helped her store all the food for the party next day. Though he didn't want anything to do with dev and Rishitas party but he couldn't refuse dhara. Raavi was also half heartedly taking part in the preparations.
Mai us din ko kabhi yaad nahi karna chahti shiva.woh apmaan ,woh dard aur woh zindagi se haar maan lena mai dobara kabhi mehsoos nahi karna chahti. Aaj bhi sochkar dil baith jaata hai. Par ek saal pehle Aaj hi ke din bholenath ne mujhe tujhse joda tha.kagaz par bhale hi woh shaadi khatam ho gayi kuch dino ke liye, par hai to hamari bhi anniversary.mai wish Karu kya?
She nervously clutched her mangalsutra not able to decide what she should do. Shiva left to the room telling her to come soon. She nodded.

Shiva sat on his bed looking at a pic of her on his phone. One year back on this day his heart had stopped seeing her laying limp in his arms. He had rubbed her palms vigorously whispering a silent prayer for her to open her eyes. He had walked into a marriage with his maamikibehenkibeti having absolutely no clue how they would spend their whole life together. And now he can't imagine his life without her.
Should he wish her? Would she want to remember that fateful day? He still remembers her silent sobs and shaking while taking the pheras. But that day had also bound them for eternity and she loves him now. He rubbed his cheeks confused.

Raavi entered holding a tray with a maggi cake and a candle top. She saw the lights of the room dim and shiva holding a red velvet pastry with a small candle lighted on top.
They smiled looking at each other.
" Happy anniversary Bhootnath" she said flashing her toothy smile.
" Happy anniversary chipkali" he said coming closer to her.
They cut both the pastry and Maggi cake on the bed and fed each other.
" Mujhe samajh nahi aa raha tha ki kya karu. Isliye itna taamjhaam nahi kiya, matlab tu manana chahegi ya nahi manana chahegi. Agar tujhe party chahiye to..." Shiva was silenced by raavi's palm on his mouth.
" Mujhe bas tere saath do pyaar bhare pal chahiye shiva. Thank you meri favourite pastry laane ke liye " she smiled
He pulled her closer by the waist and made her almost sit on his lap.she kept her hands around his shoulders.
" Tujhe yeh maggi cake ka idea kahaan se aaya? " He asked
" Sach kahu to mujhe bhi samajh nahi aa raha tha ki tujhe wish Karu yaa nahi. Par hamari shaadi jaise bhi huyi thi, Jin halaath Mai huyi thi, ek saath to hum aaj hi ke din bandhe the " she said
He nodded as he held her hands.
" Aaj mai tujhse ek vaada karta hu raavi, peechle saal jo guzar gaya mai use badal to nahi sakta.par aaj se mai tujhe kabhi koi takleef nahi hone dunga, hamesha tujh par bharosa karunga aur tera saath dunga. I promise " he said sincerely.
" I love you shiva " she said as she hugged him.
" Umm...thank you " he said
Raavi looked at him in disbelief after breaking the hug.
" Kya bola tune? " She asked widening her eyes.
" Woh...thank you. Meri zindagi mai aane ke liye.aur mere liye itna kuch karne ke liye " he said looking here and there.
" Mere bhole bhootnath. Jab patni i love you bolti hai to badle Mai i love you too kehte hai. Kya kehte hai? " She asked pulling his cheek slightly.
" I... I ..." He said looking here and there.
" Kyaa shiva? Hamari shaadi ho gayi, mai hamare bedroom Mai hamare bed par tere god mai baithi hu aur tu i love you bolne mai Sharma raha hai " she said pouting.
" Ab bola to tha us din " he said
" Hann to? Ek baar pyaar karta hai bol diya to zindagi bhar ka quota thodi khatam ho gaya " she said.
" Mai jo mehsoos karta hu tere liye, woh inn teen shabd mai nahi samayenge raavi. Tu hi to kehti hai ki mere dil mai rehti hai, to samajh jaa " he said looking into her eyes and she just drowned in his pool of silent promises.
" Samajh gayi " she said giving him a soft kiss on his cheek and blushed hiding her face in the Crook of his neck. He smiled as they cuddled to sleep. His hands being her permanent pillow as she had once promised.
He stared at her sleeping form and the clock was ticking away. He still couldn't believe all this is real. How perfectly she fitted into his arms.
" I love you chipkali " he whispered giving a soft cheek on her forehead and drifted off to sleep.
She smiled in her sleep.
The moon was a silent witness to this beautiful couple as it shone on these two pure souls lightening up their lives and providing a serene sense of peace and tranquility.
