Few points:

1. Major factor- Exam time in India. TVs In ‘primetime’ will turn off. (Most so shows r down, including maa w/ high drama & Rishta w/ lovestory)

Explains decrease at 7:30, but retained at 11 pm.
2. Promo whole week was about cad car car & accident. No prior build up for any ShiVi scenes. That was a blunder!
3. storyline: loose ends of evil of Bua, maami, Anita never getting caught or punished.

Direct divorce w/o any logic/rhyme/reason. And no one cares. Shiva being 0 concerned for Raavi’s kidnapping was out of character and not expected.
Suma-Shiva’s anger on Raavi- again this time completely misplaced. And they have 0 follow up- continuing storylines to that.
4. People are getting tired of baseless abuses! Show some positive progress. ShiVi catching maami’s deeds would grab eyeballs. Not planning & plotting of maami-kamini & Suman’s monologues.

(Cs is 1.77 on positive track w/ bachchas introduced, read on tc . Competition hai)

5. They lost out in goodwill & positive response of audience of Raavi being back, with rather baseless Shiva Suman anger & Car focused promo through week.

Interesting points about the external factors.

I wonder if other channels were also affected then....at least our competition CS doesn't seem to be....not sure if they increased or stayed stable tho.

As for continuity/ storyline issues, PS has maintained its 1.9 despite all of that. So the question now is, is the audience really giving up?? 🧐

We'll find out next week.

Most shows across Chanel’s have seen drop.

Though weekend reality show picked up.
CS picked up slightly.07 : though read on TC they went for leap and have introduced child actors (from Rishta - previous version) That might have brought in more viewers!

Plus,

PS is steady on 11 pm- 1.2.
which is interesting too!

I truly feel they need to stop going in circles of Mu & negativity & give done good positive tracks- that itself will bring a bit newness/ difference to the show.

Also curious to know ME Ka trp that we’ll get next week.

Agreed about the storyline going in circles.....just that I don't think yeh kabhi sudhrege 🤔 matlab despite CS becoming such a close competitor in the past couple of months, PS still does filler tracks like car tod and kirkir

For ME, imo, there was no drama to attract the audience.....so it'll likely be around the usual 1.2...if not less 🤷🏻‍♀️

Looks like we're on a downward trend since ivf kaand..... they've stretched everything so much that Shivi story ke major events are also falling flat.

That 2.0 trp was probably the anomaly for Raavi nde 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think most SP shows have been on a downward trend? I think may be a channel issue rather than just being show’s problem.objectively speaking the quality of the show on all fronts (production value, writing, acting) have improved since the IVF kaand, so, I think the downward trend might continue into next week (valentine week) and the pick up?

PS ka downward trend started 4 weeks ago with Dhara kidnapping the child.....we went from stable 1.9 to 1.7 now 🤔

Sure, this week could be external factors.....but what's the justification of previous weeks?? Sure, production quality has improved.....but what about the drag and filler tracks that have been going on forever?? matlab audience itni pakk chuki hai that Raavi declaration also fell flat.....toh aage kya hoga is unpredictable now 🤷🏻‍♀️

The overall trend with most SP shows has been downward. Anupama went from 4 to 3.8 to 3.6. Same with yeh rishta and even Ghum. In the same time slot even choti sardarni went from 1.7 to 1.5, with only meet being stable at 1.4.

I am not denying the audience was majorly cheated during the day events leading up the culmination of the IVF kaand and Covid didn’t help. But, if it was the show at “fault” for bakwaas tracks then other shows should be able to sustain their gains too… unless all production houses jhund main audience ko pakka rahe hain 😂😂😂 which i will NEVER rule out.

Keeping in mind TRP at a high level is just how many people on average spent on watching tv for a particular timeslot, and looking at the numbers alone, I would think the 2 week downward trend with major shows plus a drop/stability across 7:30 pm time slots has more to do with just reduced audiences in general spending less time watching TV.
Now, I don’t know if that has to with saving money after holiday season, exams or switching to pay for streaming services… that’s anyone guess or maybe something else altogether.
