Hey,
I wrote this a few days back. (Was nervous before posting it as I am not a very good writer)
Thank you, Palak2812 for teaching me how to post it.
THE CONVERSATION
It was a tiring day for Raavi; she did all the household chores on her own, went to buy groceries and still made time to study a little. Now it was time for her to get some sleep. She was about to leave the room when she noticed Shiva sleeping on the cot next to Krish.
“Why are you like this? Why can’t you be good to me?” she didn’t realise but she said that out loud.
This woke Shiva up; looking into her eyes he asked her if she is alright.
“I am fine, you do not have to worry about me. Gombi, Dhara di, Krish are there to worry for me.” She retorted and was about to leave when Shiva held her hand.
Still looking at the ground, he said “nothing is going on between me and Disha. You have to trust me.”
“Like I said in the morning, I am not bothered about what is happening or not happening in your life but I am not really appreciative of your taste in woman. You deserve someone way better.” She said it in one go and released the breath she didn’t know she was holding.
Shiva’s eyes were about to bulge out because of how she reacted. He was still confused; she was still confused. Still, he did not want to end the conversation so he simply asked, “like who?”
“Someone who knows you, understands you and gives you space” Raavi replied.
Shiva gave her a crooked smile. He realised that their conversation can wake up Krish so he gently took Raavi’s arm and led her to their room.
Raavi was confused looking at this new side of Shiva who didn’t answer her back in his trademark style, instead was being gentle and polite with her.
“Why did you bring me to the room when we could have talked in the corridor?”
He asked Raavi to sit on the bed and decided to tell her whatever has been bothering him since long.
“Because I don’t want anyone to know what is going on in your head, my head. This whole thing is eating up my brain. I am tired of people telling us what we should or shouldn’t do, I want to do something that both of us want, for once…” he couldn’t complete what he wanted to say when he saw her sleeping. He smiled looking at how peacefully she was sleeping.
“What have I done to you. Half the time what I say to you I don’t mean it and rest of the times, I say things just to rile you up because that means I affect you. It is important for me, you are important for me but I don’t know how to tell you this…” Shiva confessed this to a sleeping Raavi, knowing fully well that he cannot say this to her face and she is not so good at reading his eyes, which ironically have been conveying this and so much more.
