I love your build up in every chapter. Here you start off with Raavi's feelings on the moment that transpired in the gym, not wanting to face Shiva, which is such a normal reaction but i felt it, like i was the one hiding in the change room buying time.
Wow, this comment just floored me! I'm speechless! But yeah, I'm so glad you felt this was normal. So many times we don't trust ourselves with our reactions to people and situations that it seems better to avoid them altogether. Although Raavi did try to remedy this by talking to Shiva the next day, and that led her to another emotional upheaval. So perhaps she is right, they're constantly gonna keep doing this- push each other's buttons, rile each other up, and Raavi thinks that's a bad thing. That may never change, but Raavi's thinking can- she needs to see it as a good thing!
The scene that followed was hot!! Looking at herself, imagining Shiva (and accurately might I add) showed the bond they had, knowing each other so well since they were young, inhaling his and putting on his t shirt to feel closer to him(something so intimate abou. that) and thinking how he would touch her and pleasure her, left me fanning myself. The self satisfaction and deep sleep is something she needed after being strung for so long (since the game really). She acknowledged her feelings!! Yes!! This was the most satisfying part for me to read personally. Knowing what she feels is important for the next step, whichever way they end up, but I'm glad it is both emotional and physical attraction.
While I was writing this, I wondered how many people would see it this way. I mean usually smut involves them doing the deed, but this I think speaks of a stronger emotional bond. Although she was seeking physical release that stemmed from her attraction to Shiva, it was finally the thoughts of him - some of it emotional too - the moment where she smiles because she knows he will not be gentle, and then brings up his raw, passionate nature? This speaks of an emotional connection. I wanted her to get there first without him. Of course it will be explosive when she gets there with him! But it was too soon for that, imo.
Also i couldn't help but notice the subtle cross reference between how they spent their night, unless I'm reading too much into it (??) and creating my own scenario (also if it was intentional.. I love such trope 😂).
You mean him finding a similar release? It wasn't a trope I was exploring per se, and neither was it intentional. I just wanted to bring out the fact that Shiva was as affected by the gym encounter as Raavi was, and it would be unnatural for him not to feel the effects of that encounter *ahem ahem* in that spot, wouldn't it?
Suman trying to set Shiva up with Disha, here or in the serial... Same same...at least here it's not whilst he's married. And Raavi's reaction to the news giving him satisfaction that he's not alone in this fire of desire (just a quick thank you here for expanding my vocabulary! So many more words to learn!!). This scenario for some reason reminds me of leap of faith when Dhara tells Shiva to drop Raavi.
I'm curious as to how this scenario reminded you of Leap of Faith? Was it just the Raavi getting jealous of Disha part? I only read the WUs sometimes, so I don't really know what's happening in the show, but I do know that Suman in on the Disha train and hates Raavi. She's not gonna hate Raavi in my story.
I feel like the tension between the two is so palpable and feels so consuming that them just having a conversation so close brought back butterflies... The anticipation of a confession aloud, with the probing and pushing, trying to find the girl (woman) that he knows she is. His chipkali.
That's the thing with them knowing who the other is, so much so that one immediately recognizes when the other is acting different from their true nature. I think that's the bond they share (or should share) because of their childhood connection.
Typical of him to let his temper get the better of him, calling her a tease and the immediate regret of speaking to her that way. Where did she go? I want to know...
You know what? I don't know either.😆 Perhaps she's sobbing in the bathroom? I just wanted her room to be unoccupied so Shiva could find the list! 😆
He climbed out the window (another favourite, though i think they've only ever shown him coming through the window in his own house once 😂) not wanting mami to see him (this also makes me wonder if he's done this before.. 🤔)
Ha ha! Sure he may have done that! Raavi's done it a lot, so Shiva knows that means of sneaking in and out of her room! 😉
Also are we going to get to see the bucket list? And ks he going to help her fulfil them? Making her his in the process? (again leap of faith comes to mind)
No spoilers! 😳But yeah, Leap of Faith was very similar. In fact the fic I adapted Leap of Faith from has this scenario and my FL did have bungee jumping on her bucket list (which my ML helped fulfill). Obviously, Raavi's bucket list won't be a repeat of that! 😆
The drama at home... Dev ran away and got married and Disha is there... Poor Shiva, in one instant he went from being happy that he could peruse Raavi and in the next..his mother's choice.. I'm eager to know what happens next so don't keep us waiting too long!!!
Dev and Rishita are together, whether married or not. And the family has to accept them. But yeah, Shiva may not be free to pursue Raavi yet. But then neither is he gonna just passively accept a woman (Disha) foisted upon him by his mom's whims! At least not my Shiva!
I'm soo glad you didn't give in to your hesitation Riya and you posted because this was 🔥🔥🔥.
Thank you so much, Min for your detailed review. It means the world! And thanks for the validation. God knows I need it this time!
