IPK season3 was disastrous, agree. He should not have returned. He also did this season with a new FL which didn’t go down well with season1 fans. They wanted Sanaya with Barun in this season as well. I did not watch this season but always followed any news with respect to IPK and still continue to follow.

But I liked IPK reprise with Sanaya for Hotstar which was only 8 episodes, their chemistry/magic was still there.

I started watching this show as it was touted to be remake of my favorite show in my regional language which is the original version. But up until marriage track everything was fine, things started to change from the haveli track, they will take the concept from the OG but treatment is totally different and sometimes it goes down to being shitty😕 Anyway hoping for things to turn around at some point.

I liked ipk1 but it fizzled out so fast Coz of many factors and they didn't have much story to tell after all the exposures. Having seen the ph earlier show ipk at times looked a sp versión if that show which did pretty well for a youth channel show.

As for ipk2 the name was copied but the storyline was totally different and it took time to pick up but it was a pretty decent show to a point and lasted onscreen far longer too. Ipk3 was a pigeon poop disaster lol

That was the only comment I made on that forum..😆..but that forum was very bullying..they were pretty upset that people were not accepting the show as such..

They should have used another name. Atleast another character names. Hell they even copied the rabba ve..it literally felt like a taunt. 😆..and funniest part was all t circus dress for barun...why the hell would they make him wear such stupid costumes. 🤪

Yes..the reprise was fun..but it was very little for my satisfaction..😆

Did the reprise happen after season 3 or before?

Yes Sphere Origins are PH of PS which produced IPK 2 and BV and now BV season 2. They also took over Saraswatichandra (Gautam Rode and Jennifer Winget as leads, Shiny’s debut as second lead) when Sanjay Leela Bhansali could not focus on it and SP negotiated and asked Sphere Origins to take over. I watched part of Saraswatichandra but couldn’t finish it, quit halfway and was not active at all in the forum.

Agree, looks like TRP trend take over is making TV watching unpleasant for sensible audience.

Prema, I think the relation between fans and makers went downhill after that time.. fandom themselves started getting divided..in ipkknd2 , there were a set of people who loved it. And a set of people who hated it..inknw this becz I did watch one episode of season 2 and couldn't even go thru the end of that first single episode..but on IF it was hell..fandoms were bashing each other.. bullying.. bashing writers..bashing fans..even bashing actors. It became hell....when it was so much negativity in fandom ,I think they started following just the money..that is TRP..it became a normal..even the shows which was not made for trp kind audience , they too had to finally Succumb to its wishes..the simplicity of that time is lost now..

It doesn't matter anymore but even I didn't like the initial epis..it picked up after 30-40 epis n that part, till the main track is over , is quite entertaining..there was a mix of romance , humor, drama, and emotions ..there is no comparison between the 2 and 1..1 was beyond amazing for me..2 was entertaining , I love the music and the leads.. the heroine was something 😆

I agree , trp only matters now..simplicity , sensitivity, ab kuch nai hai bas ott drama....I went bk to the old shows just to see the epis jahan kuch nai hota bas normal family scenes hote hain aur romance hota hai😆 likr kuch rang which I am watching nowdays..but I doubt I will re watch the current shows in future.

Nowdays humor is only in ek doosre ki beizzati karna..like suman was doing to Mami ..this trend came about after Kapil Sharma show and ekta k recent kundali shows.

I think ipk1 was good coz it had a good story and they stuck to it most of the time!

Also coz of barun quitting they ended the show before of became a drag fest like others!
barun was awesome as ASR and sanaya had great comic timing, all their scenes - romantic, passion, anger or light hearted was very eye catchy!
also the cast has a great , no fights whatsoever!
Me and my friends would discuss episodes daily in college, it was crazy!

Bringing back new seasons of old shows show that writers don’t have the depth to think of new characters and different storylines!
Every channel now has atleast 2-3 shows that are being redone with the same regressive shit!

I agree to the bullying part. Constant fan wars and off screen politics ruin the watching experience. 👎🏼

Ultimately every show goes down the drain after a point . Currently , in sp top show, there r ugly showdowns between their side heroine and the fans ..fans tend to get emotional and then get personal n start abusing on sm. The ph and actors who face online bullying take it seriously now...that's the reason many actors and ppl from.ph r. Not active on sm these days..

This much regressive shows I am watching only now..pandya store also was not this much regressive..otherwise I wouldn't have started watching it..it felt reasonable to me..but I started watching midway..and then only went to the beginning. Mostly it is like this in other current shows too....

Have u watched bepannaah from cinevistas..one with harshad chopda and Jennifer winget?..it was from colors 2 years back. It was totally against trp audience..so obviously the trp was not satisfactory..but they tried their best to hold on with the content.. atleast they maintained the dignity of the show until the initial theme of the story was complete.. but then started the rat race..and we could feel the difference due to the pressure from the channel...the director was aniruddh...one of the best I have seen. I used to write to him on insta..he started making the assistant directors do the work once the whole story started turning put to be crap due to trp pressure. The whole cast was vocal abt their displeasure..becz of that we fans never felt cheated ..we felt like the writers were as much helpless as us..
