They are on entirely different pages on the concept of marriage.

Shiva wants a proper relationship with the love, respect, acceptance that comes with it.not just a platonic compromised companionship.he has seen the devotion, passion, love that gaura share, he himself is an emotional, deep layered character. He can't be happy with friendship, formality and all the stuff.

Raavi is too complicated for me to understand now.

She wants to go in the filmy way.starting afresh from dosti or ajnabee. Being cordial with each other, doing the hubby wifey stuff.she cooking for him, bringing gifts for him. Being the pandya bahu.thats all she wants at this stage.

Honestly as much As I try to search reasons for her actions, the writers have messed up big time regarding her characterisation.

She was so emotionally affected that she tried to kill herself on her marriage day.she was literally shivering while getting married to shiva.

And then she moves on within what? A day or two?

Now she is in some other world itself.

She thinks shiva is handsome? That's a bit superficial, isn't she supposed to fall for the less groomed, shabbily dressed boy Because he has a heart of gold?

But when she was asked to describe shiva.she just said handsome.

@bold, this was what I had the biggest problem with in yesterday's episode. Since the beginning of the show, Shiva has been described to be explosive, angry, shabby... Raavi and other characters repeatedly reference to his appearance... and he suddenly becomes handsome? It left me in disbelief that she would describe him in that way... She could've used any other adjective... nice, interesting, etc. but handsome?

Makes me wonder why she never considered Shiva in the past. She was always closer to him, anyway. Dev always saw her superficially happy side, but Shiva had the full package by seeing her mischievous, angry, sad side... The "Prettiest Girl in all of Somnath" was supposed to tear each barrier Shiva set up to see the inner personality he was hiding... the love he could give her, the mischief he was capable of doing, the protection he could promise... she was supposed to say he's handsome after falling in love 🤦‍♀️

It's damn irritating. She goes around doing her chindi kaands, eats up screenspace and there is no results of that kaand even 🤕🤕🤕.

You've perfectly described, what I think, the CVs are trying to do with this track. I'm unsure of why Raavi needs to be emotionally detached, myself. I don't know if it is related to her being an orphan and perhaps having the fear that she shouldn't ever grow emotionally attached just to lose it in the future.

In terms of what you wrote in the absolute beginning... I agree with you. She described Shiva very plainly as if she didn't have an childhood history with him. I'm not married, but if I had to describe my friends to other friends, I would use very different language. If I was her, I would probably roll my eyes and say, "He's the most annoying little creature to exist on the planet!! He's so stubborn, and when he gets angry you need to make sure there's nothing he can grab onto, oh and he's a terrible singer!!" and afterwards, with a smile, I would probably say, "But that's what makes him Shiva... he's a full package of emotions and keeps everything interesting!"

So, I understand what you mean. Her generic description is what I would tell pesky aunties that are inquiring about my love life. For anyone who calls me "catty cat" I would definitely give them more 😆

@bold: I doubt Raavi even noticed that about Shiva, going by the way is being shown as a superficial character, who is also an airhead and a dobi 🤪🤣

Yess. She telling him handsome didn't go well with me too. We got to know shiva thinks she is beautiful, somnath's sabse khoobsurat ladki.

But when did raavi think he is handsome?

I feel the writers are not writing the scenes seriously these days.they have gone from being deep,subtle to very superficial.remember the scenes where every dlg had a meaning? Every scene was a foreshadowing of the events to come? The pre wedding scenes, marriage track and kidnapping track had some solid writing. They are forgetting their own subtle nuances, parallels which they built.

I am affected by shivi scenes because I am attached to them.

But every scene is poorly written.even the gaura scenes.their first conversation didn't make sense to me today.dhara being happy that raavi has accepted their family? She has literally accepted the family from childhood!

Maami shiva scenes are repetitive.she has called shiva a jangli gawar a hundred times.

And let's not even talk about the abrupt endings and lack of continuity of scenes.dhara, Krish, gombi were completely unaffected when shiva jerked raavi's hands away and pushed her.

Only Dev went after shiva and suman went after raavi.

Wasn't dhara supposed to have a reaction?

I think the writers should sit and watch their own show from the beginning now!

They seem to be disconnected from their own show and characters.

They are just giving filler after filler episodes with zero progress.

Ab to lollipop scenes bhi nahi mil rahe.

Shiva's insecurity is increasing.gaura are trying to get pregnant from March literally, post leap.but they won't go to a doctor.

Anita suddenly became a vamp.

Maami does nothing other than taunting pandya family.

All i want is one monologue from raavi. How is she so unaffected by all of this?? This is just poor writing at this point. They’re ruining raavi’s character

At this stage, Even if they show half week nonsense for TRP & half week good scenes for us - I'll be happy 😆
