Hulloo lovelies. I’m not gonna say much and will just drop this here. This is just my take on it, and I don’t intend it as bashing for anyone. Please take it with a grain of salt and I hope nobody feels bad while reading it. I just needed to rant and this is the result of that 😅

*************************************************************

Her Worth

Hearing what Shiva said to Kaku, Raavi realized one thing. In the scheme of things, she was unimportant. In this Drama to get the Kangan, both Shiva and Maasi had taken her love for granted. And she, as stupid as she was again fell for both of their ploys.

Last night after calming down from the fight, Raavi began to take note of a few things. She realized that Shiva only ever went out of control when Maasi taunted him with her cruel words. Raavi does realize that Maasi-ma was the one that originally took her name in this war for those cursed Kangan. Without any shame, Maasi-ma taunted Shiva with her ill begotten jewels and Raavi knows this. And somewhere in her mind, she understands his twisted logics for not wanting to take her back with him without those Kangans. Maasi-ma was the one who dragged her in between them when Shiva clearly wanted her to stay out of it. Maasi-ma was the one that compared her to those measly Kangans, no matter how important they were to Maa. But still, his words hurt. She was hurt. Here she was sowing hopes and dreams of maybe, just maybe not having to fight with him for the rest of their lives, of a possibility of them being friends and in future maybe even more than that. And there he was, talking about leaving her as easily as that.

Na teri aane ki khushi, na teri jaane ka ghum

That should’ve been her first clue. At that moment she was just too hurt to realize that statement for what it was. But that night after reviewing the events that happened and the words that was harshly said, she came to the conclusion that it was all his anger talking. So again in hope, she waited for a birthday wish from him. It never came. That should’ve been her second clue. But still her aching heart won’t accept it.

Now, now after what just transpired on this terrace, hearing the words he told his mother, it finally hit her like a ton of bricks. She was nothing to him. It was all an act. Here she was ready to jump alongside him just to get her Maasi-ma to finally give up, but he trusted his brothers to save him. He knew they wouldn’t let him go, and stupid naive Raavi fell for his act all the same. Though he couldn’t have possibly planned for her willingness to jump, but still SHE gave him the perfect opening for a win. How stupid could she be ?

She agreed her Maasi-ma was wrong. Maasi was ready to let Shiva die rather than give up those Kangans. She didn’t even think of the consequences it will bring to her own daughter Raavi. She was selfish and didn’t even realize that her daughter was about to become a WIDOW because of her. And Raavi herself was so hurt at that realization that she took the decision of wanting to jump alongside him. Not because she loves him or anything. Far from it. She was just so TIRED of getting caught in between them. She just wanted the relief. Maybe just maybe, if she no longer breathed, there was no reason for Maasi-ma and Shiva to ever see each other ever again. Just maybe, once she herself is gone, the ties that bound them both would also disappear. She just wanted it to be over. And she regrets that it took until this far for her Maasi-ma to finally stop. For some mere bloody Kangans. That’s all her life was worth. But at least it was worth something to her Maasi-ma. She didn’t even worth up to even that for Shiva.

He took a decision for her life without thinking about the consequences it will bring to her. Was this what her life was to be with him. Was this her worth in his life ? Wasn’t it enough that her parents had left her since she was a child, a man she was supposed to marry left her at the altar, and now this ? A husband that could leave her easily whenever it suited his purpose ?

Aakhir tune, teri zidd puri kar hi li Shiva. Tujhe Kangan mil hi gayi. Par ab tujhe Raavi nahi milegi.

At that moment she took a decision. She was done with all of this. She was angry but more so tired with all of this. She was done with him and Maasi-ma both. She won’t be going anywhere with either of her family today.

Coming out of her reverie, she saw everyone winding down after the emotional chaos. Seeing her chance, Raavi quietly slipped away from the terrace. She hurried to her room at Maasi-ma’s and packed all of her things. She didn’t want this anymore. She refused to be leverage to either her husband or her mother. It hurts that that is her only worth. Taking a deep breath she took all the money that Maasi-ma had in her purse and quietly left the room. She arrived at the front gate and took a cab.

Finally letting out a sigh of relief at her smooth escape, she called the only person that would listen to her. Her Mausa-pa. Listening to his voice made her finally broke down from all the emotional turmoil. She told him everything and asked him to let her stay somewhere alone for a little while. She needed to get away. She made her Mausa-pa promise not to tell anyone anything. He panicked and tried to convince her to go back. But with her blackmail of not contacting him anymore, he finally relented. He promises to send her some money for her to take care of herself for a few days. With a promise that she will text him her whereabouts once she decided where she’ll stay, she finally cut the call.

Since she was child, she was the one that was always left behind. Be it her parents or the man she was supposed to marry. Not anymore. If her husband didn’t care, what was the use of staying ? If Shiva didn’t care, then let it be her that left him this time. If her Maasi-ma only cared for those Kangans then she can have them. What use was Raavi to her anymore now that she’s married her off. Let them suffer in the knowledge that they were the ones that pushed her to take this decision. Maybe, just maybe, they’ll realize her worth after she’s gone. But by then it’ll be too late.

*************************************************************

Done.

Again, please don’t take this personally for all fans. I just wanted for Raavi to finally take a decision for herself and put herself first. Constructive criticism are always welcome.

Love Hany ♥️

I actually love this- this is something I would have done given the amount of drama shown. Any person would get fed-up. And sometimes putting a healthy amount of distance from a festering problem helps one to get some perspective. Raavi would at least be able to get her bearings and think peacefully without a herd of family members buzzing around her telling her how to feel.

Of course they wouldn’t show such things on ITVv

Exactly ! I wrote Raavi’s reaction mostly on my reactions. I just didn’t want her to again easily forgive Shiva AND Maasi no matter how much they apologized to her. This girl has been through so much, but still they didn’t leave any mercy for her.

@bold ; issiliye mujhe laga, main khud likh hi du. Taaki I won’t hold on to it anymore 😂😂

Loved this to the core.❤️

Raavi rightfully deserves a break from all these melodrama.

It's her who has gone through the seven circles of hell and still everyone is expecting her to move on just like that. She definitely deserves some time alone to make peace with the whirlwind that just passed through her. Considering the emotional connect he had with the kangan, Shiva is right in his place for a certain extent. And there's no doubt that Maami loves Raavi but maami's priority list oscillates occasionally. Glad that she chose to inform Mausapa about her whereabouts.

You portrayed Raavi's reflecting part amazingly. Loved it. I wish if we get to see at least 25 percentage of what you've written in the show.

Thank you sooo much for these lovely words ! And yes, Raavi deserves a break. She wanted to be a part of this family for the love that they held for each other, not all of this crap that’s been going on since the wedding. Even in the Bhooth/Batwara incident she was punished alongside Shiva without any fault of her own. She was just trying to move on and again become her happy self. And all her efforts went down the drain. All due to Shiva, Maami and the family’s pressure to move on. Give the girl a BREAK for God’s sake !

Ps; I’ve posted a companion piece if your interested ♥️ It’s Shiva’s POV.

Yes she is ! After that parting line at the end, I can see her anger and hurt bubbling up to the surface. Issiliye I thought maybe I can write something that she might be going through.
