Chapter One:
“Toh plan kya hai?” Krish looked expectantly at everyone, waiting for a bunch of ideas to be thrown in. All of them had piled into an isolated room in secrecy, well all of them except for Shiva and Raavi. An impromptu matchmaking session had been called between them, hence the secrecy.
“Ae mere Bhogilal, tune toh bola tha ke tere paas plan hai,” Maami replied while fanning her face with a random leaf she had picked up from the ground. She had jumped onto the matchmaking train reluctantly but one look at the frown lines on her Raavi’s face and she was all hands-on deck.
“Maine bola tha ke plan hai. Ye toh nahi bola tha ke mere paas plan hai. Kya Maami, aap bhi na. Itni plotting aur planning karthi ho, aapse ye expect nahi kara tha.” Krish shook his head at the blank stares he was receiving from everyone. Lagtha hai mujhe hi aapna smart dimaag use karna padega.
He tapped his finger on his chin and suddenly an idea struck his mind. “Acha chalo ek competition karthe hai. Sab ko apne khud plans banane honge Shiva aur Raavi Bhabhi ko saath mein lana ke liya. Jo bhi sabse zyaada successful raha, uski baat hum sab ko pure ek hafte ke liye mani padegi. Manzoor?”
Everyone else looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders. The entertainment factor had been lacking ever since they had come to the haveli. This would be the perfect opportunity to bring Shiva and Raavi together, have some fun, and possibly score a week’s worth of dictatorship. They all nodded their heads in agreement.
“Aur hum sab ek dusre ko help karenge jaise har plan successful ho. Competition se pehle #MissionShiVi zyada important hai. Aur theme ‘pani’ hoga.” Krish was elated that everyone had agreed to his plan without any arguments.
“Pani kyu?” Everyone asked in unison. The walls echoed from the sound and Krish hushed them with his finger.
“Dekha nahi aaj. Dono jab pani mein ghire toh dono ke dono muh band karke ek dusre ko help karahe the. Yaad karo.” Krish pointed at the thought bubble that had formed above this head and everyone joined their heads together and stared into the bubble to see what he was picturizing.
Shiva had finally decided to take a warm, relaxing bath at his Dhara Bhabhi’s insistence. He figured that one bath would give him some days of peace from the constant nagging of his wife and Bhabhi. He opened the faucet and grabbed bottles of soap while the water was filling up the tub. He shook the soap out of the bottles into the water and then threw them carelessly towards the floor.
“Aisa kon kartha hai? Lagtha hai Shiva ko bilkul nahane ki aadat nahi hai,” Rishita said, interrupting the thought bubble. Everyone looked towards her, and she made a motion of zipping her lips. They focused their attention back to the bubble.
Meanwhile, Raavi had entered the room to change her clothes for the night. She walked into the bathroom with her change of clothes and squealed at the sight of shirtless Shiva.
“Vaise mera Shiva kitna handsome hai na? Kisi ki nazar na lage mere bache ko,” Suman said while turning her hands and folding them against her forehead. The thought bubble had burst again, and everyone looked at her in irritation. “Haan haan thik hai thik hai, nahi bolungi kuch. Ae Krish phir se chala.”
Raavi turned to leave but her foot slipped on the soap that had spilled out of the bottles. She crashed into Shiva’s arms and they both fell into the tub, water splashing onto the floor. Both of them were disoriented from the fall and tried to wipe away the soap from their faces. Shiva reluctantly helped Raavi remove some from her eyes and she had in return run her fingers through his hair to stop the soap from dripping down into his eyes.
That was the extent of their interaction, the rest of it was spent trying to get out of the bathtub. And they had finally done so, not so gracefully, holding onto each other in weird angles to avoid falling. They would silently nod their heads at each other before taking the next step, an unspoken plan had been established between the two of them.
Once they were finally out of the bathtub, Shiva had wrapped Raavi in a towel without looking at her and left the bathroom quickly.
The thought bubble popped, and everyone looked at each other in awe. The two junglees had actually put their grievances aside and had worked together to remove themselves from the awkward circumstance they had literally landed into.
“Isko dekh ke toh yahi lag raha hai ke humko kafi sari uncomfortable situations create karni hogi inn dono ko kareeb lane ke liye,” Dhara said, breaking the silence that had settled in the room.
“Haan ye dono jab awkward hote hai toh jagda nahi karthe hai,” Gaumbi agreed, intertwining his hand with Dhara’s.
“Gaumbi yaha hum Shiva aur Raavi ke baath karne aaye hai. Apna ye romance chodo,” Dev said while swatting Gaumbi’s hand away from Dhara’s. The both of them blushed and went to stand at opposite ends of the room.
“Vaise Krish, tumhe kaise pata ke ye sab hua tha?” Anita asked, peering at him suspiciously.
“Voh Anita Di main bhi toh tha bathroom mein.” Krish replied as if it was common sense.
“Kya?” Everyone asked at the same time, again. Krish covered his ears with his hands.
“Tum vaha kya karahe the?” Suman asked, scared to even know what the answer would be.
“Voh main Raavi Bhabhi ko naqli chipkali se daraane wala tha lekin tab tak Shiva agaya toh main bathroom ke devar se chipak gaya,” Krish replied while rubbing the back of his hand in embarrassment. Dev slapped his arm at his idiocy, and everyone chided him for intruding on the couple’s private moment.
“Ab ye sab choro aur #MissionShiVi pe focus karthe hai.” Krish wanted the attention to divert from him.
“Meh, mission ka naam thoda aur original hona chaiye,” Rishita said, and everyone nodded in agreement.

All the suggestions had been utterly atrocious and almost everyone said no to each one of them. Finally, after a lot of arguing, they finally settled on one. Krish put his hand in the middle, and everyone put their hands in as well.
