I've seen all south Indian versions except kannada. And I feel Malayalam is the most positive among all. By positive I'm just meaning there's less negativity. They are literally copying everything of Tamil and cutting off those small negatives Tamil had.

Just that they have made meenas dads character and mullais moms character more negative compared to Tamil.

Telugu version is not really that bad, my mom watches it and often gives me a short review of the running plot. She doesn't watch illogical or negative shows but she likes "Vadinamma" just because the family stays together and tries their best to keep their relationships intact despite the grey characters trying their best. I think the telugu and tamil versions are very similar, in fact both the shows have same actress in bhabhi character, Sujitha is playing the same character parallelly in both the versions.

But I have seen few scenes where bharat(shiva) slapping siri (raavi) and vice versa.

Also if I'm right, I remember they both decide to consummate the marriage fr having baby and giving it to sita(dhara) after knowing abt her sacrifice. And shailu (rishita) is negative till date.

I dint like those ideas.

Just my thought but yeah I think I went overboard by calling it toxic.

I wud rather call it a little more negative.

I only knew the show from my mom's words, have never watched the telugu version, maybe she omitted the negativity while narrating to me but I started watching PS only two days back after knowing its a remake of the show my mom watches, she's progressive for an average telugu serial viewer, she used to watch dubbed serials like BV, SBS, SGP, KRPKAB, DABH. But I don't get how has the trend of hindi serials getting dubbed to regional languages replaced by star plus remaking all the popular regional shows!!
