Context
I watched the bonfire scene last night, and they looked wayyyy tooooo amazingggg for the way the scene played out. It was disappointingly underwhelming for their first close dance as a married couple. Forget tension or attraction, they didn't even talk...Raavi was in his arms for a total of 2 seconds. Frankly, I could’ve done without the Dev/Rish twirl and dip, and the absurdly comical group train.
No, this is not a rant.. though I'll forever be salty about it..It’s mostly my imagination about how I wish the scene had played out. I'm not sure if this should be characterized as any of the fan fiction tags as it's not an original story. I'm just rewriting an existing scene my way.
Please ignore logic and typos.

Dhara pushed Raavi towards Shiva, and gave them an encouraging look. She hoped that they would dance instead of fighting.
Shiva caught Raavi against his body. His one arm automatically went to her waist while he felt her small hands clutching his collar. Honestly, this wasn't the first time they were in such close proximity to each other. However, while this was familiar, it was still different. They weren't fighting; they were supposed to be dancing. Their relationship had changed. But he didn't know how to deal with it.
"Yeh Dhara di ne bhi kaha fasa diya. Ab faltu mein iss bhootnath ke bakwas sunn ni padegi." Raavi muttered under her breath. She looked up at him, trying to figure out how to get away from him.
Shiva narrowed his eyes and quickly pulled her even closer to his chest. Without giving either of them the opportunity to change their mind, he quickly caught her other hand and began swaying to the music. Shocked, Raavi had no choice but to follow his lead.
"Abey o bhootnath! Kya kar raha hai tu?" She asked him.
"Dance kar raha hu. Dikhayi nahi de raha?"
"Dikh bhi raha hai aur feel bhi ho raha. Par mujhe nahi karna." She muttered, looking away from him.
"Kyu? Pehle toh chudailo ki tarah phudakte huye aajati thi. Toh aaj yeh faltu ke nakhre kyu?" He asked in exasperation.
"Kyunki aaj tere jooto ki tarah lagne vali batein sunn ne ka mera mood nahi hai. Aur meri chod, tujhe kabse mere saath dance karne ke shock chada? Bachpan mein har Navratri mein mujhe dandiya maar ke bhagata tha. Toh fir aaj tu kyu chipak raha hai?"
Rather than letting her go, she felt the arm against her waist tighten even further.
"Kyunki aaj yeh bhootnath ka mann kar raha hai ki woh tujh jaise chudail ko apne isharon par nachaye. Toh muh bandh kar, aur mazey le.", he directed roughly.
With a little smirk at her shocked expression, he began to earnestly dance with her. He twirled her past the other couples, increasing his speed to match the tempo of the song. He was vaguely aware of the shocked stares of his family members but he honestly couldn’t care less. His entire being was focused solely on Raavi. He saw a slow blooming smile on her face indicating that she'd begun to enjoy herself.
For her part, Raavi felt like she was flying. When he first began twirling her, she was shocked at his sudden moves. More practically, she was worried about hitting other couples. But after the second twirl, she forgot all about them. She could feel his strong grip clutching her hand and directing her body. The tight circles were making her head spin but she knew that Shiva wouldn’t let her fall. It didn’t occur to her to question that knowledge. At that moment, there was no one else and no bitter feelings.
There was just Shiva and her, enjoying the dance together.
As the music ended, Shiva brought them both to a stop a litte distance away from everyone else. He wasn’t ready for anyone to intrude with their pointed questions or even well-meaning comments. He wanted to enjoy the intimacy from their dance for a few more moments.
“Mujhe toh bilkul yakeen nahi ho raha hai ke tuj jaise bhootnath itna acha dance kar sakta hai”, Raavi exclaimed with a breatless laugh. “Mujhe toh lagta tha ki mere saath tu sirf tandav karna janta hai. Thodi der aur dance kar sakte hai kya? Please?” She requested in a pleading tone.
“Ae chipkali, jyada uchal mat. Nahi toh tandav bhi dikha sakta hu.” He retorted mildly.
He knew he should let her go but he was helpless against her infectious joy. He could hear her thundering heartbeats and he wanted to continue holding her. But soon the family intruded with their surprised comments. Reluctantly, he let her go and walked away from there.
------------- scene end.
A/N: My imagination also wondered about their non-verbal communication when they saw each other dressed up but refused to say anything. I wonder if I should post it separately. Let me know.
