And Raavi calls her Mausi because Prafulla is sisters with her mother.

Then how was Gaumbhi's marriage arranged with Anita? Wouldn't that technically be incest since they're both cousins?

Anita is also Prafulla's niece but from her brothers side. So, Anita and Raavi are cousins

Okay so both girls are second cousins.

..no wouldn't it 1st cousins? Cause anita's dad and Raavi's mom are also siblings

Okay so:

Prafulla - Gautam's Mami

Anita & Raavi - Prafulla's nieces

^^ if this is the case then Anita & Raavi will be Gautam's second cousins. To be their first they will have to be Prafulla's biological children.

Anita and Raavi aren't Gautam's cousins at all tho (first or second)

Because gautham and mami are only related to each other through her marriage. You're not cousins if its not through a blood relative.

Since Gautam is from Maama's side of the family - he only has a relationship with Maama and Maami and any kids of their own. Any nieces or nephews from Maami's side of the family will have no relation to Gautam.

Gautam and Mami are related because Gautam has a blood relation to Maama so Maama is their connecting point.

But Gautam and Anita have no person that is connecting them by blood.
