Don't think so. He was going to school 10 yes ago,so it would be hard to believe that he doesn't even know how to read or write.

In the original Tamil version Kathir (Shiva) went to school till 10th standard. He studied very well and even was first in the school. He quit studying after that to help his brother with the shop since they didn't have money. He knows how to read and write, he just didn't go to college. He is planning to give the 12th standard exams now.

In Tamil version none of the brothers are Graduate

moorthy(Gautam)- 12th

Jeeva (dev)- diplomo

Kathir(shiva)- 10th pass and he was school first with above 95%

kanna(Krish)- He is studying in college

Mullai(raavi) and meena(rishita) are graduates. Dhanam (dhara) I don't know

kathir has inferiority complex that he is not well educated so he hesitates to come out of his shell to do other work like going to bank, giving ideas etc

Shiva didn't go to college because when he was fooling Raavi regarding Krish facing identity crisis he clearly stated that Raavi went to college but he didn't......I guess he just completed his schooling for Gaura's sake and went ahead to work in store to help Gombi as soon as possible

Shiva completed his schooling and I don’t think it’s necessary for everyone to go to college. Agar Shiva ko education complete karni hai then he can go. Otherwise no zabardasti.
