GL was complaining about this releasing at the same time on Eid ul Azha as Mahira's film Love Guru with Humayun saying two projects of the same actor in Eid is not done. Humayun's Manto will also be airing through Eid ul Azha and in Manto's case both the film Love Guru and the show are directed by Nadeem Baig. Love Guru itni bakwaas hain kya that both leads are releasing some other projects to clash with the film on other platforms.

Low key wish they do not release Woh Ek Raat during Eid.

Eid pe waise hi trps low hoti hain across the board which means noone watches that much tv in eid days. Nor do eid telefilms get much promotion. So I just don't see how a telefilm will compete with a big budget commercial film in cinema. Manto with its big budget and huge starcast is going to be more competition than some Eid telefilm any day.

Hypno, I feel tb fans don't yet get it that yumhaj are contractually bound with 7thsky and that's why they aren't doing any other show even if the scripts are being offered to them.

Wahaj can't sit at home forever till tb2 goes on floor. Usko apna ghar bhi chalana hai. So idk why people have so much issue with him doing back to back shows with same actress, as anyways like someone said eid telefilm isn't really a big deal and just a 1 hour timepass episode. Mdb or the new hum show would be the real big deal for wahira.

As his fan who is not a Yumhaj shipper nor a Yumna fan, even I feel 3 shows back to back with Mahira is an overkill. 2 shows is fine but 3 would be too much if it is not well spaced. If it really is an Umera Ahmed script for Hum, then they should pick that project over MDB since Green is not a great channel even if Haissam is a good director.

P.S. I agree that there is some contract preventing Yumhaj from working together except for on TB 2

See my case also same as yours. I only like and care about wahaj. For now mdb is the only confirmed show that they have signed and most probably it'll take quite some time to go on floor. We'll get this telefilm in couple of months.

I hope whatver show they've signed it's good where wahaj has a meaty role and screenspace and their potential is utilised to the fullest. I'm fine with wahaj doing umera script but hoping that some other good actress is casted opposite him, if mdb is confirmed with mahira.

If the script is based on the Umera Ahmed novel Aks then man that can be career defining for Wahaj and whoever is paired opposite him. Supposedly the story for that is stellar.

Tbh the kind of projects Mahira and Wahaj are being offered together are so top notch, who would not be tempted to sign up...best writers, best directors, a dream for any actor. So yeah I do not blame them in part. But I truly wonder if some look test of theirs has been shared with these production houses cause they are so excited to pair them together.
