Episode 5 QeJ

The House and Daddu:

So we get to know Asim is going to be Bisma and Nashwa's neighbour and so is Burhan, that's how everyone's bhaichara increases maybe(?).

I think Daddu's main use in the show is highlighting the contrast like: Bisma vs what she herself preaches to her followers: ideal treatment of women/people vs how they're actually treated by men/elites, another one: Ammar her ankho ka tara vs criminal Ammar, and Ammar vs Nashwa: how Ammar is 'oh so seedha sadha' vs he was actively drugging the girl... All this while Nashwa the black sheep of the house has secured an internship at the top firm under one of the most successful lawyers, Asim beggar nahi ayega vs Asim's son buying property: daddu thinking Asim and family are deen but now his son has repurchased his father's own ancestral house and has hired top interior designer in the country. Seriously, ameeri ho toh inn logo ki tarah! Burhan literally repurchased the same property for Asim that was rightfully his (Nashwa and Bisma convo).... What a metaphorical tamacha on Daddu's face who thinks Sabrin villa was her husband's charity lol...

Upar se, Amma also thinks her ladla beta Bakhtiyar has behenzoned Bisma... Lol her delulu is loolooing more than the BTS stans.

Asim:

This guy is either lamenting over his failed love life or fawning over his son. Like uncle you don't pass the desi dad vibe check. 😒

He seems to be self obsessed guy who'd look at himself in mirror for hours during his jawani😏

Anyways, Asim is in London he's watching BBC, doesn't need sharab to recall his lady love classic, I got the memo Saqib Khan.Yeh shaam phir nahi ayegi by nushrat fateh ali khan and Uss Mor Say Shuru Karen Jagjit Singh songs used.... damn they do have some love story there, the music (even instrumental) in this part is something alright!

Writer has done commendable job with the classics and since I'm a sucker for them, I'm lapping it up

Bakhtiyar:

Bakhtiyar gives me creeps... He literally could read Nashwa's friend by a 10 sec talk and decided he wants to know what's going on. He spies on them. *me rechecking Deepak Perwani's Lilah collection once again, actor is not their character*

Next, in a way Bakhtiyar agrees (indirectly) he didn't make a move on Bisma because he knows when to strike and whom to strike ewww. Instead, he compares Ammar to Behzad. Bakhtiyar warned Ammar ki '2/4 saal kuch na karna'... Maybe until his marriage with Fariyal? 'Ab kaun karega tumse shaadi?' I hope answer isn't Nashwa 🤦

Ammar

Ammar the scoundrel is carrying on with the day as if the night didn't happen. He is the only one who can blackmail both buddhao dadi and beta jodi.... Let's kidnap him and start another khel guys(), What say?

Did they mute him singing while he was exercising? Nameer must be thankful

Papaji helped Ammar get underground and from looks of it this isn't the first time... Wherever he's gone, Ammar didn't take his car. So nobody knows when he left after he came back... Nobody can tell a tentative time of him leaving except Bakhtiyar, since he's gone to 'overwatch' his business. Plus, except Nashwa nobody knows he was away all night, others think he's just gone to gym, came back and slept until afternoon.... Well played papaji loved Nameer and Deepak P in the scene, Saqib's camera trick worked beautifully. There's this quick pan between D and N before the action begins, oh the goosebumps!

Nashwa

Nashwa isn't morally preachy and unnecessary high on them. Her priority is her mother and herself. Her not going mother Teresa for Maheen isn't that out of line IMO. She won't do anything that'd jeopardize her mom, going against Amar would do exactly that. Bakhtiyar won't hold back and Daddu won't stop him. AFTER becoming a lawyer she might gain some confidence but now it's too soon. She already know bade abbu will handle it for Ammar.

She stays away from drama that doesn't concern her, I keep saying GR isn't the main plot like a broken record but we know Nashwa cannot represent Maheen in a court legally. A drama that has kept close to reality for so long will suddenly change? Bakhtiyar will let the case run so long? Nashwa is minding her own business, her current aim being becoming financially independent. Why'd she start caring for Maheen suddenly unless given a solid reason? Like Maheens murder (?) Nashwa didn't even stand up for herself in front of her family, why'd she do that for Maheen, a stranger?

Bisma:

She's fragile and submissive. A complete housewife groomed to be a unpaid maid and reduced to doormat because she has no husband. But, there's an intelligent woman under that veil, who knows how to protect herself and her daughter and understands literature.

My wild theory: Did Behzad force himself of Bisma? From looks of it all 3 Behzaad, Asim Bakhtiyar were interested in Bisma... Asim being the best choice being son of a civil servant and a wise man. If not Bisma then who was Behzad's victim?

Burhan

Strangely... I'm liking how they're developing Burhan and Nashwa. It's almost like he's irritating her on purpose. He might know she's his cousin (or not).

It's funny how Beenish goes 'yeh Burhan sir kaun hai' *tease*tease* and Nashwa doesn't understand lol.

Senior vakil made an exit the moment Nashwa entered... My khurapati shipping dimag **..... anyways we'll leave this for another time when I get bored or annoyed or both!😈

Well i was not expecting From Nashwa to take a firm stand for Maheen as its evident Nashwa is not that strong. Even she is not a proper laywer but i feel her response should have been more strong. She forgot about the incident even next day which is off trait in character of Nashwa as she speaks for everyone.

Not only that she even told her friend not to act like an investigator, I also expected her to tell Beenish but she kept mum. Even Ammar didn't show even slightest of fear, like we'd imagined except for when he checked SM. He was chill because he thought matter rafa dafa ho jayega.

Well Bakhtiyar did mention of Behzad being a tharki and family enduring taunts for him. He might have died naturally due to some genetic illness because of incest or some illness since it's mentioned ki woh hamesha beemar rehta tha.

But he wasn't hospitalized since he died in daddu's arms in their ghar. He had returned from hospital abhi woh admit tha ya koi aur we don't know.

This scene was best in whole episode. Bade Abu is real star of this episode. What a fabulous acting. Even I was scared when he was beating Ammar. Nameer was good but i felt it was not his best performance. Even i observed he smiled for few seconds during this scene

I'm shocked when Bakhtiar mentioned "like your chacha"! And Ammar says "Main chacha jaisa kuch nahin kiya"!

Behzad is even worse, then? To be worse than an accused r*pist I wonder what he did! That daadi might be the saviour of Behzad just like how Bakhtiar is the saviour of Ammar! And she speaks about the impprtance of justice & fair treatment among people!

I am really intrigued to know what crimes might an ill man commit? Was his illness physical or was he a sadist psychopath who had some serious criminal traits? But people don't die out of mental illness, though! Toh What does "woh pehle se hi bimaar the" mean?

When I looked at Ammaar after her saying "yeh paagal nahin lagta aapko?" I kind of started seeing a paagal! He was shouting and it started to feel like he was talking to himself loud with all those expressions
