Last shows I saw were Sinf e Ahan and Kuch Ankahi and it was an ensemble cast and they all made it to the poster? Specifically female centric - Bakhtawar’s poster was just the FL on the poster. Even Nayab the movie just had Yumna on the poster. Although it was also the brothers story in that. So I do think specifically female centric, the woman does get her own poster in PTV. But unfortunately most stories are just love stories and family drama so of course male faces will be on the poster too 🤷‍♀️

If she means ZPKB, Hamza has a proper arc in that show? Becharay ko thora sa credit to de dena chahiye lol. He’s sitting right there

Dar si jati hai sila is another example. In fact I would say that it is actually opposite. Parizad poster had everyone on it when in fact Parizad show is even named on the character Parizad. Parizad is just there behind others albeit a bit larger than others. Hamza should not have been neglected this way. Parizad.png

IMG_2371.jpegThe poster is with sajal and hamza only

There are multiple posters which hum released of hamza and sajal.

Single posters of hamza as well. This was the first that they posted, introducing sajal as the lead in the show.
https://www.instagram.com/reel/C6OVleStPs7/?igsh=eDZ5NDc2aHZsM3Jy

Nowhere it was mentioned this will be the main poster

As its a female centric show, concerning around women empowerment and education, that’s what kashf is known for, they introduced it with a female character.
This was the second poster https://www.instagram.com/p/C6jcxbyNoyN/?igsh=bnYzY2J4dWozNjFr

Third is already the one which youtube posts the episodes with.
The only injustice would have been done to hamza if he was not casted in this one, cos its a crisp script and everyone wants a critical acclaim show in their kitty.

Completely agree 👍

The quote would have been fine in any other context.. Haven't heard the whole interview, but if she was pointing towards ZPKB, it isn't only woman oriented, Hamza too has equal credit in that n he totally deserves to be a part of the poster..Like you said, this quote for this specific show doesn't make any sense at all.

Imagine if the opposite gender had made this point for their gender, this would have taken a completely different turn!!

Agree. I don't know why she said it or to which specific or general scenarios she was referring to but PTV drama has been pre-dominantly women centric and women have mostly been at the centre stage of the advertising campaign for these dramas. There are usually posters released with the individual cast members and then main cast and complete cast posters. Even in the complete cast posters I have seen women taking centre stage plenty a times. But yes if a drama is male centric then male lead deserves to take centre stage on the main poster.

I also agree with your point regarding 'if the roles were reversed'. Imagine the hoopla it would have created.

You're absolutely right. "Parizad" did a commendable job by including all characters in its promotion, despite being male-oriented. It's interesting how women empowerment, gender equality sometimes gets misunderstood. I haven't heard AAA claiming only parizad deserves to be in poster,if he did so, everyone would have called him sexist..lol

In an era where we strive for equality, it's crucial to recognize that it applies to both men and women. The importance of characters in a drama should determine their presence on the poster, not their gender. There's no need to make everything about men vs women, it is about fairness and inclusivity...

Sensible take

You always thrive to do better than before, all industries are male dominated, being on poster doesn't mean selling a product, she is talking about being able to sell a project in women's name
