And during that time Danish didn't have the fan following he has now so it was more difficult to have commercial successful shows. Also, people actually say TB started making Wahaj popular but it was actually fitoor when Wahaj started getting recognition. Before that he didn't used to get lead on 8PM slots. There was an article by Amna where she had written about Wahaj struggle as an actor and how he started getting recognition after Fitoor.

I had just recently started watching pak dramas during deewangi time so had no idea who either Danish or Hiba were. But during Deewangi air time, I saw its online hype. I tried to avoid it because it seemed like a toxic storyline but I think I was either bored or some random clip convinced me to watch it and I can tell you Sultan Durrani had such swag and some of his dialogues were just too good.

I don't always watch a drama for a pair or happily ever after as long as the story is logical so I loved the unconventional ending Sultan Durrani had and Danish and Hiba had such strong chemistry, I even ended up watching their earlier drama Hara Dil which had a complete bakwas plot.

About Wahaj, TB gave him the ultimate peak no doubt but he was being noticed from ehed e wafa I think and fitoor being a geo drama also helped him and although not a fan of the role he played in fitoor, he was def good as Hamza.

KA definitely had one of the best ending for a pak drama of recent times.

I watched deewangi a lot later and I also had same issues as you. I thought it was toxic and my sister convinced me to watch is saying that storyline is unique. I enjoyed it eventhough it was dragged in the middle. Danish and Hiba have amazing chemistry. The ending also made sense.

Yeah. Ehd e wafa too helped wahaj. But, without these two shows he would probably won't have got 8PM prime slot. I felt bad for Hamza in the initial episodes. He lost his love due to toxic family. They ruined his character later. But Wahaj definitely was great in the show. I hope to see Hiba and Wahaj again in the future.

Me too. I am still salty that JS did dirty to Hiba and Farhaan chemistry. Bilal and Hiba will be interesting and unique pair. I want to see them together in a same show, if its in Kashif Nisar drama that would be awesome.
