6. respect your past but don't dwell on it. she apologizes to wahab when she brings up farooq while discussing ushna's adoption at one point. wahab then simply says that farooq is part of her life and there is nothing wrong it. so both wahab and zainab have a healthy respect for the first marriage but they don't let that relationship dictate their own. so there are set boundaries and respect for the changes in their life. no comparison or behaviours from the past influencing this relationship.

7. no transactional demands in relation to a parent-child relationship -- there is no "I raised you and therefore you have to do this for me" type emotional blackmail that we see in some dramas.

8. showing a healthy and good love of an adopted parent as well as a adopted parent-child relationship

Damn, loved all the points!! Thank you for adding these positive ones!! ❤️

I love how Zainab and Wahab's relationship has grown. ❤️

I absolutely adore Zainab and Ushna's bond esp after Zainab told her about how blood relations are not everything giving example how her own siblings behaved with her. ❤️

Naima always seen Sehroze and Ushnas disinterest to each other (abnormal mummy's always happy to see this), the moment she has seen, they actually care for each other and her mind changed.

Only treatment for this is, Ushna should always make Sehroze feel that he can lose Ushna anytime. If Ushna too show love equally and give Sehroze confirmation about FOREVER then gayii pani ganga meyyy, Sehroze will handshake his mummy and relationship will be ready to jump in Ocean 🌊😆

I understand writer now, why he didn't show Ushna's ''i love you too'' in proposal scene. Ushna understood this nonsense quickly than me. Ushna is in treatment mode 😆

@bold absolutely!! This was already hinted in that scene where he asks ushna to worry nd care for his mom's feelings..this was before dadi entered.

Not in every household but in many households the in-laws expect their son and daughter equation to be somewhere in between not completely in love as well not on loggerheads with each other.. so that they can have their say and control in most of the matters

I loved reading your POV. I guess my inherent nature is I don’t trust easily and when I see someone overly kind, my spidey senses go crazy. When I first started watching this show I always thought that something is not right but I couldn’t put my finger on it relating to Naima. I did not like how she and her son were clingy towards each other. Again, I put it down to my personal views and decided to watch it as a dispassionate viewer. Enter zunaisha and that scene where Shehroz takes Z to his house for lunch and mummy goes yes I have had it prepared, I thought that she can’t be that stupid. Then date incident, and then lunch incident again - i at that time had some inkling but I never gave too much thought to it as I thought I am the only one with this view lol 😂

I did loved watching her bond with zainab but I didn’t fully trust her. Like when will the other shoe will drop kind of feeling if I am making sense here? More than that Romeo I was dreading Naima Ushna fall out and that’s what happened but I will admit I never thought it would be over this. Naima like you said had a very cold relationship with Wahab and she even got antsy when Wahab went with zainab to threaten the brothers and next day she was again all why didn’t you tell me.

iI also thought for a smart woman she is dumb as Romeo used to come almost daily to start his balcony jaap but not once did she try to do anything about it. Either zainab, or Wahab, or Shehroz did something but never her. If she was considering Ushna her daughter and you know your daughter has a stalker and you also want her to marry your son ( pardon my daughter son analogy here but you get my point), then why not do something? She in fact never even consoled Ushna. So did I like her? No. Did I think she had a great bond with zainab - also no, but I did truly enjoy watching them and was genuinely hoping to be proven wrong.

Now gloves are off as both hubby and son have decided to think. First it was all about Naima and how masterfully she kept the stroke secret from her son which bothered me a lot too, but now Shehroz is in love and Wahab has other responsibility, namely zainab. Miss Naima ain’t number one any long and out comes the fangs.

That’s my thought process on her and maybe I am way off the mark but I think she was shady from day one.

This 👏👏👏👏👏👏

I agree that Shehroz is also temperamental and a loose cannon. He was also very very frustrated the way he was always angry. Could be hatred for dad but it was too much. Mum certainly didn’t help with her helicopter parenting. He did what he wanted When he wanted it. I also agree he wanted to marry Ushna and that’s why he did it otherwise he was hating on her fully.

In Ushna he saw a companion and someone that had zero expectations from him. She couldn’t be bothered until he started being nice. As I mentioned in another post Naima never saw Ushna as a threat because she thought based on what she saw that theirs would be a passive marriage. But she is stupid which I have said as well as she doesn’t know her son. He is possessive just like her and he never loved zunaisha. When he fell he fell deep. That was her downfall.

I don’t think he will agree to divorce either even with bad Shehroz attitude as he is very headstrong and he will do what he wants. The current Shehroz in love in my opinion will not do it. Mother thinks love and marriage is joke that’s why she got her husband married. I want him and Ushna to stay stronger and together, rest I will tolerate. I am tolerating that Romeo what’s the big deal with this witch.

I just don’t get desi MILs who wants to control their sons after marriage, like cut the cord already! Let’s see how this goes. Only silver lining is it will end soon which means I can binge watch lol 😂

😘 one of the reasons I hang out in forums like IF is to hear different points of view. it is rather entertaining and makes you think as well. I would honestly say that I have grown as a person watching dramas and dissecting them with fellow fans over the years -- it makes you understand people in a way.

I have always seen myself as rather skeptical in that I see characters as grey as opposed to black vs white. that is why I am usually not surprised by positive characters turning stupid like naima. instead, I try to look at the circumstances and understand the psychology. in my view, everyone is capable of acting stupid. hahaha.😁 unless they are shown with close up zooms and twirling expressions with long dialogues of playing games (like raessa), I generally accept at face value if they are shown as positive. 😆

while I thought it was weird that naima tagged along on the date, I also saw her as really lonely. during lockdown, all of us felt a bit cuckoo and we were bit too excited about normal things like grabbing a meal together. so it made sense that she would thoughtlessly tag along and then take a step back when zunaisha pointed out how absurd it was. what I liked about naima was that she was willing to accept the criticism of zunaisha and not take it personally; instead she understood that it was not only a problem for herself but also shehroze.

we know that in the end, naima will be back to her previous self. just hope that the transition isn't absurdly fast but rather logical in how it plays out. lets see!

ITV is obsessed with making more episodes, PTV finds a kind of pleasure with depressing content and sad ending.

🤣🤣 had a good laugh over that line from your post; so true. I also find PTV so vague over certain things. you get so used to in your face type storytelling from ITV that some stuff especially the romantic gestures need to be deciphered like a mystery clue. 😂

It is so interesting to read different POVs. Like @mango.falooda said, the reason why I enjoy IF more than any other platform for shows discussions. You get to see the characters from different perspectives which you might not have imagined. I get to see Naima in a different light altogether as of now. Loved reading each one's perspective today on the characters.
