No I think it’s better if they didn’t show the transition just out of the blue, like Feedi was never into prayers or spirituality and suddenly after the humiliation jumping into it with the way he’s shown to be would indeed look out of his character. He needs a trigger to realize that the sacrifices should only be for God, and that trigger will come in the form of Taimoor’s death saga.

I felt that it was completely the right way to show how he’s not into prayers now, matlab ek aise insaan jisko kuch din pehle ye bola gaya ke he’s delusional and worthless aisehi react karega, all angry and disconnected to God, because as he said Roma that usko dua karni nahi aati, which indeed is true, they’re not showing that he’s someone incredible whose prayers work, because it doesn’t and even Farhad knows that but it’s more like from Romana’s point of view he’s a hurt and broken Banda of God, and God listens to people who suffer the worst, that’s her theory.

I think you just read too much in between the lines, the ishq e haqiqi should be build up with a proper foundation which they’re doing here, and I completely feel that that’s how it should be, not like Bahawalpur se Multan aya and ek din mei hi he figures out that abb Allah hi sabkuch hai, aisa toh nahi hota when they’ve already shown that Farhad wasn’t very religious to begin with.

His anger is a shield yaar, yeh toh dikhayi de raha tha saaf, he just doesn’t want to talk or connect with people anymore that’s why angry reactions to Roma, matlab that’s a shield to not get used by anyone else anymore. He’s angry at his fate and nobody else.
