This serial is hard hitting reality. Shows families with different values..

Lot of things are involved in the behaviour of fathers that we are questioning - upbringing, values, society, corruption, law, government, family background etc...

Even in US, now we have ' The Silence Breakers' (Time's #1 person of the year), so many harassment cases coming out in open.. after so many years women are standing up for themselves...Need to have courage..

Coming back to story, yes, Nori is the common link between all the families.
Her baby brother is so courageous and encourages her to speak truth..Some people have this fire in them to change the world...

My heart goes out to Zubia and Noori. I think Zubi's dad needs some physcatrist help...

I love Daniyal's family and OMG Geeti is so understanding...It is really good to see such smooth relation between hubby and wife..
Love Asfi...😃, looking forward to his scenes..
Loved Zubi's masi as well. No wonder masi is indeed ma jaisi

I love the way people interact with respect, the tone of talks ( Asfi's family)..

SO much to learn in terms of language for me.. Hindi and words are different...

Ami, believe me, you will love the London returned Dr. Asfi even more, later in the show.
I am with you in the way they interact among each other with so much respect in Asfi's family.
It's very much a part of the original Urdu language, I guess...the words mean & sound Respect !!!

So Thanks to those makeup artists for all their tricks. Atleast have to appreciate they try
to look natural & keep it real as per the story & scene unlike in Indian shows
where the actor goes to bed & wakes up mostly with makeup & jewelllery...lol !!

The Pakistani industry is infatuated with skin bleaching as well, Mish. I presume seventy-five percent of the actresses we see in their industry aren't naturally fair. There's a treatment out in Asia using injections of high doses of glutathione for skin whitening. Most people get these injections for 10,000 rupees per month and become at least five to six shades lighter than their actual skin tone. If you watch their morning shows, they have people come and talk about these treatments and how their performed. From the medical standpoint, this is a huge no-no because it could result in something as drastic as liver failure! The liver isn't equipped to detoxify such large amounts of a substance like glutathione. It's insane what people will do for the sake of beauty. 😡 I don't understand the obsession with fair skin in South Asia anyway. In my honest opinion, Priyanka Chopra has the most gorgeous skin tone out of all of the actresses in the Indian industry and Pakistani industry. On our side, I suspect that actresses like Kajol, Deepika, and Bipasha are all undergoing some kind of skin bleaching because they all look much lighter in comparison to when they first started out in Bollywood. You know what Mish, our Indian telly actresses may be clad with unrealistic amounts of makeup on their shows but at least they're not pretending to be what they aren't by resorting to all of these procedures. Just my opinion. ☺️

Oh my goodness, all of this procedure sounds scary. I always assumed most Pakistanis
were quite fair, but looks like I am wrong.
Probably the infatuation comes from imitating the west.
Indians, mostly down south have darker skin compared to the North in general.
But no, nothing's ever enough...surprised to hear about all these actresses putting
their overall health at risk just to look a tad lighter.

And here in the west, they all want to Tan down...Lol
No one's ever contented with who they are & how they look.
Although in the last few years, with Skin cancer on the rise, people are
aware & more careful what they do to their skin.

Thanks Dazz, you are quite well informed 👍🏼

Mish, I always get irked when comparisons are drawn between Indians and Pakistanis in terms of their looks. My Pakistani friends always brag about how much more beautiful their population is in comparison to the people of India. I politely point out that Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, and Kangana Ranaut are all Indians (keeping their obsessions with fair skin in mind). I ask them to name one actress on their side that is as gorgeous as the four I've mentioned above. 😛 It's enough to shut them up. 😉 There are tons of dark-skinned Pakistanis just like there are in India. The way the Indians up north are generally considered fairer, the Pakistanis up north are also fairer. Everyone in the West loves the wheatish Indian complexion! They consider this skin tone the ideal skin tone or the bronze skin that's prevalent in South America in countries like Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia. 😊 People are more comfortable spray-tanning nowadays because it doesn't come with any of the harmful effects of UV radiation - leading cause of skin cancer. Heard it's very common out in Cali where nobody likes to be fair-skinned. 😳

She's the only Pakistani actress I know of that isn't cosmetically enhanced. She's actually duskier in real life.

Sajal Ali after she underwent skin whitening.

Drashti Dhami, Jennifer Winget, Sanaya Irani, Additi Gupta, Kritika Kamra, and Ekta Kaul are all procedure-free from what I can tell. They've all looked the same since starting out and are all gorgeous to the say the very least. 😳

DAZZ, you have thorough knowledge... Thanks for sharing with us all..😃
I was always thinking why Kajol is looking fair now and see I have answer ...
In a way, I like Kangna's stand not to endorse skin fairness product.

@ Dazz...Woah, she looks different as Zubiya. I like Zubiya 😃
And the difference in shade is quite noticeable between the two pictures, & she is just 23 !!!
Oh well, sadly "the fair skin & Size 0 " fascination will always be a priority for girls &
young women, no matter what...😳

Ami... yep, the long haired Asfi in the initial episodes looks different
from the Dr. Asfi in the montage. His character is more serious & matured in the
later episodes.

Ok guys I started Watching Zindagi Gulzar Hai...Dazz, didn't know Fawad was in it.
Well, just finished the 1st episode & Pretty impressed with him. The actor definitely seems
to have that international flair, if you know what I mean...😉

Haha Ami, I just remembered this on the topic of fairness creams...
I just couldn't believe it when I first saw those ads for "fairness cream for men"...
& ShahRukh was in those ads...😆 😆
I was thinking...whaaat, Men too ??

Dazz, now don't tell me men get those treatments too??😉 😆

What a crazy crazy world we live in !!!! 😳
