I completely agree...

He has been an important aspect of her life ever since she started working with him..yes he scolded her but he made a big big impact...with his professional competence, the way he ran the hospital etc. she was very keen to make an impact on him...

In his case...while he may have totally fallen for her after the rainy night (the first time they spent so much time 1-1 away from the hospital), for sure she made an impact on him way before that...he had been quite aware of her for quite some time before that...

Please go back and see the scene in which she is reviewing the file of a patient in Asfi's cabin with him and Dr. Sheroze. She is standing and he is subtly checking her out while Dr.Sheroze is reviewing the file..

This is the episode after the one in which she discovers he is Geiti's devar

Chai ka cup came later!

Ok after watching his ONeTake interview i am kind of a less fan of his personally he is STILL a great actor though but seriously all SAHAD SHIPS have drowned of mine!

So a few months back he had mentioned he has a crush on somebody from the industry i thought like many it would be Sajal Aly but seriously in this interview he mentioned MAYA ALI!!!! Like what...seriously! She again is a great actor but compared to sajal no man, i am a lil sad now. My craze for SAHAD has died down and i am READY TO MOVE ON.

The lack of appreciation when it came down to picking who is better between Sajal & Kubra further cemented my lack of interest in this. I am so done, its sad and weird i am even obsessed with them but i kind of was but now NOTHING.

I am in regression MODE now. I always loved SAJAL, like if you ask me she is one of the finest actors you guys have over in Pakistan, yet so under rated.

When did Asfand start becoming aware of Zubia?

What about Zubia? When did he start to make an impression on her?

I think he becomes aware of her the first time she talks to him about Domestic violence and wants to take action which he dosent. In fact that is the first instance they show him thinking of her words. That incident predates the Baarish wali raat incident. But even then it is because he finds parallels between Daniyal bhai and her.

When does he really become aware of her as a woman? Hmm probably in the kabhi kabhi dil,chahta hai-- he says it and then he realizes why he said it. (difficult to really appreciate a woman's form in those completely baggy clothes she wears :)

I think in this play, Dr Asfi is the protagonist because most events are seen from his perception. I really liked his every night soliloquy, in the SUV or in his bedroom when he thinks mostly about what she has said.

Zubiya---- She is far more unaware of both him and her own self. I think she has been professionally so insulted by him, all she wants is to win his approval. So she is all the time thinking of the compliments she receives from Dr Shehroze and also Asfi about her work. Also Gaiti is right, she is extremely wary of him and never able to relax around him.

Is she is unable to relax because he is her boss( she is very cool with Dr Shehroze who is also senior to her) or because he is so unpredictable or because she is attracted ?

Actually in her case, they go straight from her feeling scared of him to feeling jealous of Fariyal. They probably should have spent more time in building her awareness of her feelings for Asfi.

Here is another question-- If there is one incident which they have failed to exploit potential of in their romance, which could have pushed the story far better, which one do you think it is?

My answer here is the baarish wali raat. tailor made situation for getting to know each other and they just dont talk.

What do you all say?

I liked that the attraction on Asfand's part grew slowly. Like it wasn't about looking at this girl and going wow, so pretty. In fact, he first liked her for her professional dedication , then because she's a good human being (the scene when she stops the man from scolding his daughter) and then became aware of her as a woman. He had noticed her before(refer to the scene where she's making the chart ) but it wasn't with any romantic association.

For Zubiya's part, as you said , she's completely unaware of all that she feels. Till the moment he bandages her hand, then the part in the car when he drops her home(raasta khatam na ho scene) , and she's shown stopping herself from thinking of him. Faryal's arrival brought in the realization that she's attracted to him, but the signs were there much before.

Most of their scenes are just wonderful, but the scene that had me a little bit irritated was the first phone conversation. I feel the scene was edited, and there was a sudden discontinuity there.

I mean can there be any comparison between kubra and saajal in terms of acting. Infact there can never be a comparison of an establish actor like saajal or a new comer imported from UK. Yes I love maya Ali but haye give due credit to the co actor that has contributed a lot for ur success in YKS. Anyway that was completely useless interview and I m not going to watch any of his future interviews. To me he comes across as a thankless person offscreen.

In his case I strongly believe that she has made her presence felt in her interview itself.. Her determination in her words made him notice her well there.. And that's where he too must've known that she's not just about words but there's potential which can be groomed. And he took her under his mentorship.. 😉
