I feel the same. Sad ones are memorable and leave an everlasting impact. And socho it would have been so ordinary and so unrealistic for Umer's character to marry Aleeza.. that one character wali baat wouldn't have gone with his character. His character is sab ka charm, favourite and then the beauty would have been lost. Itni realistic novel ki itni unrelistic ending hoti agar Umer and Aleeza shaadi kar lete. Yes, he could have gone overseas and novel could have ended there but then how would have Aleeza been through the realisation phase? How would she have come to know what Umer felt for her agar uski death na hoti.. because she found it out through Judith and Nano would have never told Aleeza what Umer actually told her 😭

I hate all those who say they hate Amarbail cuz it had sad ending. Aleeza aur Umer ki shaadi wali ending is something that would have ruined the beauty of the book. Just because they didn't get the 'happily ever after' ending, they hate the book. Like why? 😳

Mujhe bas ek cheez chahye the.. Us ki death ka hona acha hai.. Coz iss tarah he will stay in mipy mind forever.. But.. The only thing I wanted at the end.. Like.. Before he dies .. Aleeza n uski ek baar baat hojati.. !!! Bas ek baar... When Aleeza came to the hospital n saw the ambulance .. There.. I wished.. I wanted them to have a lik convo wo dono ek dusre ko dekh lete ek baar... Ek baar .. Kuch toh kehte.. Woh dekhta uss ko ... Woh uss ko dekhti.. Us ko pata toh chal jata k Aleeza uske baare mein badzan nahi hai.. She STILL cares for him.. Kam az kam usey iss baat ka toh sukoon hota.. I feel so depressed when I think about it 😭

I think its Junaid's character that made the ending more bearable n realistic.. Junaid n his family were THE BEST thing she could get in life.. Agar Junaid ka character inroduce na hua hota .. Toh I would have rooted for their union.. Like all thise troubles.. At the end woh saath hote.. Ek dusre k.. Coz they BOTH needed each other in their lives.. Broken lives..

But Junaid's entry changed everything.. For good.. The ending was reasonable.. In my eyes.. They wanted to be together.. He too wanted.. But just because of the fear of not giving everything Aleeza deserves.. He didn't want to marry her... BEAUTY AT ITS BEST !!!!

Mere dimaag se nikal gaya but you know while i was reading the book and when Aleeza dharay maar maar ke ro rahi thi, she cried for him, she felt like there was nothing in life after his death, how she couldn't first believe and accepted that she still loved Umer Jahangir the same way she did at a mere age of sixteen.. I felt like, 'I wish Umer could know this.. usko laga Aleeza hates him in return for all his care and concern. Mtlab ek baar bas Umer ko yeh pata hota hai that Aleeza's love in still intact for him like she confessed on her engagement night. Pata nahin kitna dukh mein hoga when Aleeza said she hates him, she doesn't want him in her life.

mujhe bhi yehi feeling ayi thi. And I felt like ab aitraaf karne ka kya faida? Jis ke liye aitraaf kiya he is no more!! </3

And yesss... Those dialogues of Umar.. What he told Nano... MY HEART SKIPPED BEATING WHEN NANO WAS TELLING ALL THAT... !!! That was enough for me to burst into tears.. This confession and the one Judith did... BOTH SPOKE VOLUMES !!!! I wanted to give him a hug bara wala 😭

Acha you will realise it soon that reading one excerpt of Amarbail cannot make you cry .It's a ride.. a journey. I read excerpts from time to time but when I read the book all over again, I cry every time. every single time. Jab shuru se parho tou feels aati hain, you once more live Umer and Aleeza's life.. and that's why you cry when you read it from the beginning.
