then if she is not worthy of mention then why she was approached maximum time? why i would approach an actress again and again who is not worthy of mention? That too the drama of the top writer of Pakistani drama? No other actor or actresses didn't get that opportunity right? No sensible producer/director/writer would cast for their drama to the same actresses if she was so bad..mehreen's not mentioning her in an interview can not take away sanam's credit from her...regular viewer of pakistani dramas r sensible enough to know her worth just like they r sensible enough to know a fawad khan's worth...and very conveniently you ignored fawad' interview where he ignoring sanam saeed and mahira mentioned sanam balooch as amazing actress...

The obsession with Sanam Baloch is at another level I must say...definitely beats my "anti-Fawad campaign." 😆

The funny part about this entire thread is the lack of knowledge people actually have when it comes to Pakistani shows. It's one thing to bring down an actor...another to not fully do your research for trying to prove a point, if there is one to begin with. Mehreen Jabbar directed Sanam Saeed in not just Daam, but Mata e Jaan and recently, Dil Mera Dhadkan Teri...and the latter two were after Daam. ...Dil Mera Dhadkan Teri just a year and a half ago.

Mehreen Jabbar directed Sanam Baloch in Doraha. Doraha got Sanam Baloch Daam. Aamina Sheikh and Sanam Baloch did not have to audition for Daam... Likes of Adeel and Sanam Saeed however had to. Coming to Mehreen's statement..Mehreen has directed the likes of Yasir Nawaz (in literally every OTHER show of hers back in the 90s.)..Faisal Qureshi ,Ahsan Khan, Sarwat Gilani (close friend), Nimra Bucha (Nimra is a close friend of MJ also..and rated by EVERYONE) , Deepti Gupta (close friend - MJ has repeated her so many times in her shows..Deepti credits MJ for her getting Pakistani shows all the time), Imran Abbas (Imran Abbas loves Mehreen Jabbar, he doesn't praise anyone but praises her), Hina Bayat, Javed Sheikh, Badar Khalil...and the list continues. I guess she doesn't rate any of them either. And I love the way people overlooked MJ's "and so many more...". 😆

And Umera Ahmed..she has a say in her casting as much as the director or producer.

Oh and FYI -

Haissam Hussain is arguably one of the best directors in Pakistan and he more or less is only vocal in expressing is fondness for Sanam Baloch, Fawad, Mikaal and Nadia Jamil. He literally never praises anyone but these people. Sultana Siddiqui was asked by Sanam Jung in a show recently if she's supposedly biased towards Sanam Saeed and her instinctive reaction was that's not true..she loves the likes of Sanam Baloch as well. Sanam Baloch is the only actor who has worked with Umera Ahmed so many times..arguably the best Pakistani writer in recent times. Young actors like Maya and Osman have been vocal about liking Sanam's work. Heck, even Sanam Saeed praises Sanam Baloch. Sanam Baloch has turned down all of Hum's films and shows that had everyone's favorite Mahira and Fawad alongside her. Why would someone even offer her anything if she's not rated? She's also a low profile person, unlike the likes of Mahira etc who are always everywhere which only allows people to talk about them more. Humayun Saeed merely saw her on Sindhi television, and said you have potential to become big and she will soon work with him..and a few months later she got roped in Doraha opposite Humayun Saeed, under MJ's direction and Umera's writing..and Doraha is what put Umera on the map. Doraha gave Baloch Daam. Fahad Mustafa is trying to rope Baloch in a show with MJ's direction on ARY..he even said he'll have to talk to her family and try convincing them to have Baloch do a show again. MJ may have just forgotten her name..but to say she doesn't rate her just because she didn't mention her name and specifically said many more ...not to mention actually did not mention so many other good actors she has worked with..is not a big deal. That doesn't take away anything from Baloch like some want it to. 😆

Not liking an actor for whatever reason is one thing..but to not know what you're even talking about is another.

sorry little off topic...i see these things this way that my sister thinks sanam saeed is the best actress of Pak dramas because of zindegi gulzer hai and i feel sanam balooch is the best actress of Pakistani drama because of dastan ,des,daam...so always she comes up with 100s of reasons why sanam saeed is best and i also come up with 100s of reasons why sanam balooch is best...so there is always differences of perception...but what i feel upsetting is to prove ones fav right is it really necessary to demean other?

Nadia Jamil specifically has a character penned down for Sanam Baloch in mind..in a script which she 'dreams' to rope in Sanam B, Fawad and Mahira.

Fayzal Mansoor had Amna Mufti write a script with a character specifically for Sanam Baloch which she turned down..once again, was supposed to also have Fawad and Mahira.

Haissam Hussain has a show where he's coming up with characters specifically for Mikaal and Sanam Baloch ..and said if he can make it concrete he will direct them.

Momina Duraid offered Sanam Baloch their first movie..Bin Roye..she turned it down..and once again...they also wanted Fawad and Mahira.

And as mentioned, Fahad has MJ roped in for a production later sometime...and is trying to rope in Sanam Baloch as the lead.


For someone who isn't apparently rated..for someone who has been away for 2 years..that's some demand amongst producers, writers and directors.

A few people including me said Sanam Baloch is as good as Fawad in Dastaan..in fact, she's a better actor, in a thread where Fawad was being praised left, right and center..a few Sanam Baloch fans created havoc for stating their gospel words...aur kuch logon ko bura laga...and this is the outcome.. 😛

SanamB's male costars have always said something nice about her as well.

Mikaal was asked by Sanam Baloch his favorite actor to work with and he said Sanam Baloch right off the bat only..and then went off a tangent to praise her.

Fawad actually ignored Sanam Saeed and Ayesha Khan's name and went on to praise Sanam Baloch and Aamina Sheikh in that TUC interview.

Fahad always says nice things about Sanam Baloch...she's perhaps the only female costar he genuinely likes..as Fahad and his female costars don't always get along and Fahad wants Sanam in an MJ directorial..out of all actresses...

Adeel Hussain chose Sanam Baloch over Mahnoor Baloch, the latter being one of the most mainstream actresses to come out of Pakistan ...in his TUC interview..

Mehreen casting Sanam B. in multiple projects speaks for itself. She'll be playing the lead in one of Mehreen's upcoming shows as well.

unless Sanam Baloch turns it down, like she has done with many others...though I hope she doesn't.

I think bin Roye was never offered to Sanam B, mahira and Fawad were always the first choice for Mina and infact momina herself had said it too .

And yes nobody said Sanam B is not liked but is a bad actress but she is still far behind than others who made a bigger impact .

And also with a body of work like SanamB it's shocking that she is not even close to Saba Qamar and Mahira's popularity .

And why name only shows which were written by umera or directed by Hassaim ? Infact sanam failed badly in KPKP and was overshadowed by Humaima in Akbari Asghari both of which were Hassaim shows ..

90% actors shine in an umera Ahmed project and that doesn't make SanamB different . Infact sanam saeed is a lot better than sanam Behen it comes to conviction and effortless expressions , she does not even need pilot episodes to make a connect and clocks from the very first scene ..
