Shanu, the problem is every time i try to watch a new pak drama, i watch 2-3 episodes and quit, i am so damn sure now that i need Fawad's face to make me watch an urdu drama now. Before initially when i started watching Pak dramas, i had thought that the dramas are very good and high on quality and content and i can sit through any good drama , but unfortunately it is not the case. i tried Pyare afzal and i left after 3 episodes, i tried to watch Malaal , and omgee first two episodes had me yawning and i am sure these dramas are fab but still do not know how to develop interest and continue with them.

You know its is not that Pak dramas are the best thing that happened to me or many of us , but its just that Fawad introduced us to this new source of entertainment and when you watch a show you do realize that his presence does make a difference.

Munira di is right, people fight over him, and its legit because neither pakistani fans want to lose a gem and icon like him who actually represents the industry at a global platform and nor indian fans want to lose him who has set a new trend

Try to watch Aun Zara it is hilarious, romantic and kinda serious as well.

Exactly! After seeing a few dramas I have realized Pakistani shows are basically rehash of Indian shows and films with episodes fitted in around 20-30 episodes. Fawad has the charisma and screen presence to compel us to watch some bad stuff. Otherwise majority of his shows esp Dastaan was pretty underwhelming apart from his presence.
Pakistani dramas have two heroes-one is Fawad Khan and other is Umera Ahmed. Unfortunately both have/are moving away from dramas.

Sundas, Fawadoo has a charismatic personality and magical on-screen presence which makes me sit thru his dramas widout flinching or yawning and blinking. thats true, but apart from Fawad's dramas there are sum other dramas too which I really liked. Ofc Nowdays, Im not watching anything cuz everything is Bleeh! But I still believe that Pak Dramas were a relief to us Indians from The Trashy, Shitty, Melodramatic and Superficial Balaji Serials. As they were more on content, closer to reality. But regarding Fawad, I think its silly to fight over him. Ppl cant expect him to do ZGH's and HS's all thru his life which may result in his typecasting. As an actor, you need better possibilities and If he finds them outside his industry then its not sumthing to fight abt. Even we have many of our BW actors trying for HW. If tomorrow he gets a good HW movie I wud let him go.. I wont scream and wail abt him being India's copyright. Thats Idiotic.

I think Fawad himself put it the best way that art has no boundaries.
Also yes there's no dearth of talent in Pak and neither is there any in India, but it can't be denied that the scope is much greater in India and also overall India has better opportunities.

The industry in Pak is at it's nascent stage and I am alreday seeing so many people lamenting abt the Pak dramas having reached a saturation point and how 3 to 5 years back they were so much better.

Also I suppose the political situation in Pak is quite unstable and artists r easy targets, so it's not surprising when they venture beyond. But Fawad is the one who has the most secure future in BW nad hence he's making hay when teh sun shines.

Again with internet and all, everyone can access any entertainment from anywhere around the world, so it's not even the case of being deprived of someone's talent.

yes, no harsh feelings, because initially i thought it is the basic quality and structure of all pak shows that draws audience of urban class. but NO, it is actually not like this.. you definitely need a charmer like Fawad to glue you for a marathon of 23 episodes.
apart from Numm and ZGH , Dastaan, Behadd and Akbari Asghari, other shows of Fawad are quite rehash of hindi shows but he still shines in them, and best thing is that he makes people that he is the only star of these women centric shows ..

Khoobsurat was bad, but obviously we cannot expect him to deliver something iconic in his first bollywood film itself, because as much as i know, his initial shows were flops, and Dastaan was his first big hit After KKL was a masterpiece, so he did struggle to reach where he is today and so you cannot expect him to shine like ZGH and Humsafar in his very first hindi film itself, he atleast got the best reviews and a Filmfare and being a non indian it itself is an achievement, let other pakistani stars at least achieve this muh and then we can compare Fawad and diss him, because his contemporaries have neither impressed me in their own dramas and ofcourse not even in bollywood.

slow, steady and the balanced one is always the winner, Fawad it is ...

Moroever, its weird how people want to take away ZGH and Humsafar's credit from him, and give excuses like even his shows failed. Yes his shows failed but still it is his SHOW which is holding the record , be it in terms of TRP or online popularity on a global platform. If you check back, Humsafar is still the biggest in pakistan and ZGH is the biggest in India, and still people criticize him that he has an Ashk and Numm ? Numm is a good show, at least i liked it, and good that he tried doing that and now i know why he is still majorly highlighted as a romantic hero because when he does a Numm it flops, so what can he do ?

Fighting over fawad will never end, but the problem arises when he is being tried to put down that the industry can run without him, yes we know that, infact bollywood can also run without salman khan or shahrukh khan, but the impact they will leave will be remarkable and can never be removed and the bets of their time , just how Fawad's impact will be.

The day any other pakistani actor impresses me like Fawad or even makes me sit through his acting and one single show, i will obviously be happy and reframe my words that yes there are better than Fawad in Pakistan, but till then i will stand with my opinion. My choice 😆

and Mahira is the fawad in the female brigade, she is LOVE 😳
