Adeel, Saba Qamar, Faisal Qureshi, Sanam Baloch, Aamina Sheikh, Humayun Saeed and Noman Ejaz are perhaps our only mainstream actors at the moment that have popular shows on all of our main channels.

in 1st Awards it was Humsafar.. in 2nd it was ZGH and now this year its Sadqay Tumhare.

Mahiras shows would never work as well on ARY or Geo or PTV. Neeyat was a flop on ARY. This was right after Daam with Mehreen Jabbar and a novel adaptation. Even, MJ couldn't save the show or bring out the best in Mahira. She is more or less a product of Humtv. Even Fawad's shows haven't worked on any other channel. our channels have cliques. Geo has them, so does ARY and Humtv. There are only a few actors who work everywhere.

and youre saying her shows wont work as if shes already done dozens on other channels... shes hardly worked. You always compare Mahira to the likes of Saba, Sawera, Sania, Aamina, Faisal, Nauman etc when actually she hasnt even done 1/4th of the amount of work theyve done. These people are veterans theyve worked in this industry for 932647354 years. Mahira has hardly done projects and is still this popular, atleast give her that :P

@bold: lol Main Manto is about Sarmad and Sania more or less. Everyone else isn't as prominent because they have a come and go kind of role. Neeyat was Mahira's show. She was the lead protagonist. Yes, it was also Humayun's..but Mahira was the female lead. By your analogy, SeZ, ST and Humsafar aren't hers either.

Mahira probably gets offers from other channels. Everyone does..it's upto you whether or not you take them up.. Fawad is the perfect example. He took up shows on Geo and ARY,..of course, because he was offered all of them. Unless, no one offers Mahira anything outside of Humtv..but that's another story.

Saba, Mahira, Aamina, Sanam Saeed, Sanam Baloch etc are all contemporaries. Who else do you want her to be compared with? Sania Saeed? or maybe Sohai? Of course, you're going to be compared to your contemporaries. Mahira has been around for a good while now. Sanam Saeed started acting around the same time as her and her example is right in front of us. Mahira chooses to do less work..and that's her decision..but even then, she is doing more work now. She's very popular, yes, we all give her that...but she's not a great actress in my opinion..and one of the weaker ones out of her contemporaries. Popularity never equated to brilliance. Even Katrina Kaif is extremely popular.

I.think the discussion was not about whether Mahira pays ppl to.like her or not it was about y does she get awards when clearly others are/were more deserving.
And to prove their point that how amazing Mahira is they have to bring SB and say how bad she was in Dastaan 🤣
Mahira didnt even deserve the ShereZaat award she, I was watching the show again on hum just the other day and realised that she was so mediocre in the first half of the show as the rude and careless Falak.
